Li Wei suddenly remembered that these coffins were exactly what he had overlooked. He hurried over to one of them and examined it closely.

It was indeed an ordinary coffin. Aside from being made of black wood, there was nothing special about it. Perhaps too much time had passed; the wood had corroded into a rotten mess. A peculiar stench of decayed wood mixed with rotting corpses hit him full in the face.

Enduring the smell, Li Wei grabbed the coffin lid and heaved it open.

A cloud of black vapor immediately rose from inside. Even with his nose covered, Li Wei was nearly knocked unconscious by the putrid stench. This was no bad smell—it was practically a poison gas bomb.

Yet when Li Wei saw what was inside the coffin, he frowned even more deeply. It contained an enormous arm. Pus and blood seeped from its rotting skin, and it had clearly been forcibly severed. The neat cut at the break made that abundantly clear.

Its black fingers kept twitching. Clearly, it had been scratching against the coffin and making that spine-chilling sound.

Using the Eye of Perception, Li Wei received only the information: "Severed right arm." There was nothing else of use.

Li Wei opened the remaining three coffins. They also contained severed limbs, though these were a left arm and a dried skull.

These three items clearly had nothing to do with the Soul-Seizing Pearl, but Li Wei had a feeling that they were the keys to solving this puzzle.

That was because when he removed the three severed limbs, the old ghost, who had been sitting as motionless as a meditating monk, opened his eyes and glanced over. A sharp glint appeared in his previously clouded pupils.

Looks like I was right. These are the clues.
