First Battle's Victory
Tom exclaimed in surprise, "You're actually going commando in this weather? I never knew wizards could be so wild!"
The female Auror was absolutely furious. "You bastard! My wizard robes are insulated! I was wearing underwear! And you bastard tore them to shreds!"
That wizard's robe cost her 100 Galleon, almost a month's salary.
Two people weren't enough, so they made three; three weren't enough, so they made four; in the end, the Ross was simply left empty.
Four well-trained Auror attacked Tom without any regard for martial ethics, and their attacks were ruthless, using powerful magic.
This is not a simple matter of addition. Auror are trained not only in individual combat, but also in teamwork.
The four of them occupied four positions, which allowed them to support each other and prevented Tom from launching a group attack. They seemed to have managed to stabilize the situation.
Ross didn't take this opportunity to escape; the Anti-Apparition Jinx array hadn't expired yet, and he still had a tracking spell on him.
Even if he runs away now, he will still be caught if Tom is dealt with. He can take this opportunity to rest and recover some magic power before helping again.
Tom didn't give him a chance to make a move.
After testing them, Tom discovered that these four were truly weak. Snape had lied to him? This level of skill was enough to make Auror?
Tom didn't realize that different people have different standards for what constitutes a passing grade.
A perfect score is 100. Some people might think that 90 is the passing grade, while others would be overjoyed with 50.
The same applies to Auror; Snape's criteria for judging them were completely different from those of the Ministry of Magic.
The Auror he mentioned were all elites like Kingsley; what were the others but cannon fodder?
The four men sent to chase the Ross were just newbies who had only been with the company for a few years, the oldest of whom was only thirty years old.
"That's enough," Tom said, having realized he had overestimated the enemy and lost patience to prolong the conflict.
The ball of light from the fight with Snape reappeared, jumping onto his head—the very same move he used during his duel with Snape.
The beam of light was aimed directly at the female Auror's "Protego!" A surge of magical energy exploded outwards.
The female Auror's Iron Armor Charm lasted only a moment before being shattered, and she herself was sent flying again, this time landing unconscious on the ground.
Then the thick beam of magical light lashed out at the other three like a whip; this was one of the high-level spells taught by Andros.
There are no fancy tricks, only highly concentrated compressed magic power that moves according to the caster's will, capable of both offense and defense.
Even Snape was envious and offered several of his own magic spells to Tom in exchange, but Tom refused.
If individual skills are lacking, even the best teamwork is useless.
Within seconds, the other three Auror also lost their ability to resist.
Tom cast a series of Disarming Charm, and the wands of several Auror spun back into his hands.
Ross stared dumbfounded at the Auror lying on the ground, then looked at Tom looked like a wholesale wand seller.
Where did that old bastard Borgin find such a formidable opponent? He took down a well-trained Auror Squad in just a few rounds?
"Damnbro, you're absolutely amazing!" Ross quickly flattered.
Tom gave him a strange look. "You're clearly white, so why do you have such a West Coast accent?"
Ross was overjoyed, looking at Tom as if he were a kindred spirit. "I learned from those Muggle rappers, how about it, am I good at it?"
"Not quite there, they don't have that kind of talent."
Ross sighed, "Sigh, I still have a lot of practice to do."
He looked at Tom's wand, which he hadn't yet lowered, and asked in a pleading tone, "Brother, can't we just leave it at that? They're only after me, don't kill anyone."
Tom tilted his head and said strangely, "I'd be crazy to kill the International Auror. Even if you wanted to kill them, I would stop you."
"You want me to make an enemy of the International Confederation of Wizards for a thousand Galleon? Are you crazy or am I crazy?"
Ross fell silent. Well, he had been deluding himself.
Tom addressed the three injured male Auror, "Give Mr. Ross a day, and give you a day to heal. Once he leaves Britain, the rest is none of my business."
The three Auror exchanged glances, each seeing the hesitation and struggle in the other's eyes.
Tom noticed their wavering and continued to persuade them, "We're all just trying to make a living. It's not easy for me to earn money, and it's even harder for you guys who only get a fixed salary. Why risk your lives for that little bit of money?"
He glanced at the wand in his hand. "If you don't accept my proposal, I'll have no choice but to break your wands."
The expressions on several people's faces changed drastically. "No!"
Ross chimed in from the side, "Allen, don't hesitate! I only made a small mistake. That bastard Graves is just abusing his power."
The fatter Auror retorted angrily, "What are you doing?! Graves was your former teacher! You even slept with his wife!"
Tom, behind the mask, was grimacing and his eyelids were twitching wildly.
Things are getting more and more abstract. That Auror deputy minister named Graves was also Ross ' former teacher.
Ross was indignant. "I was determined to get revenge when he targeted me back then. Do you think I wanted to sleep with his wife? She's 1.5 meters tall and weighs 150 pounds. Do you know how much effort it took for me to get hard?"
Tom couldn't hold back any longer. The three international Auror had strange expressions. Allen thought about his boss's wife's appearance and figure, and looked at Ross with pity.
He said reluctantly, "I agree to your terms. We will not pursue Wilkinson today, and I hope you will not interfere in what happens afterward."
Even if they wanted to continue the pursuit, they couldn't.
His internal organs have shifted and he needs immediate treatment. Besides, what the You-Know-Who said is true; why risk your life for such a small amount of money?
Tom readily returned the wand, not worried that the other party would change their mind.
Wizards in the Wizarding World are actually quite afraid of death, especially Auror who have bright futures and can be considered social elites. Very few of them would fight to the death with a dark wizard.
And judging from the looks of it, Allen and Ross know each other.
Allen used the Levitation Charm to carry the unconscious female Auror, and he and his companions slowly retreated, stepping out of the Anti-Apparition Jinx magic circle's restriction, and immediately activated Apparition to escape.
Ross breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he was safe for the time being, and immediately extended his hand to Tom warmly.
"Brother, thanks to you today, otherwise I really would have been arrested and taken back. My name is Laus Wilkinson, what's yours?"
Michael.
"Then I'll call you Michael. Old Borgin really has a lot of connections, being able to know a powerful wizard like you."
