Tom placed the three notebooks on top of a book, the Hufflepuff ' favorite, * Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them*.

Gellert Grindelwald finally snapped and launched into a tirade. "How can you still read such utterly boring stuff? What's the difference between this book and a fairy tale?"

"Apart from a few noteworthy species, there's no need to waste time learning about the rest of the Fantastic Beasts."

Tom replied, "But I think this book is good; it's actually quite nice to read in your spare time."

He stroked the book cover and exclaimed, "Mr. Scamander. Newt Scamander was a truly remarkable man; he was the one who gave people a systematic understanding of Fantastic Beasts."

"Has the world truly made Fantastic Beasts an important subject?"

"You're kidding me!" Gellert Grindelwald was absolutely furious.

Andros looked at Gellert Grindelwald strangely, his face shifting between pale and flushed. He wondered what was wrong with the guy. Did he really hate Fantastic Beasts that much?

Gellert Grindelwald snapped angrily, "Bored? You're too old to even have a decent grasp of Dark Magic, how can you be idle? Forget about this useless stuff, come and learn Dark Magic from me!"

Tom was secretly overjoyed, desperately trying to suppress his smile. "Dark Magic is more interesting than Fantastic Beasts?"

Gellert Grindelwald spoke with immense arrogance, "I will show you the allure of Dark Magic." He had the right to say so.

Tom stopped provoking Gellert Grindelwald; if he continued, the old man would probably get really angry. "Alright, wait a minute, we'll start right away."

Tom looked at Phoenix with a smile. "Fawkes, how was the meal? Are you full?"

At first glance, the phoenixes in this world are actually quite ugly.

But upon closer inspection, it's not actually that ugly; at least the feathers look extremely glossy, and there are faint traces of flames flowing within them.

Fawkes, having eaten and drunk his fill, stretched out his long neck. Tom reached out and gently stroked it, then revealed his fangs.

"Fawkes, today is Christmas. Your master gave me presents, and you ate the Christmas presents I prepared for you. Now, shouldn't you give me a gift in return?"

A great deal of doubt appeared in Phoenix's large eyes.

Tom smiled unusually gently. "I don't ask for much, just two of your tail feathers and a few tears, and we can be friends. What do you think?"

Fawkes tilted its head, Tom had already taken out the small glass bottle and placed it under the corner of its eye.

As it turns out, even the highly intelligent phoenix is no match for the inherently wicked Slytherin.

It shed many tears and lost two tail feathers before it managed to escape.

Gellert Grindelwald's lips twitched. "You little rascal, you're really something."

He had a completely different impression of Tom; he was nothing like the model student he was yesterday, and now he was full of mischief.

But that's good. If he were to raise another Albus Dumbledore pushover, he would be miserable.

Tom sighed self-pityingly. "Mr. Grindelwald, you flatter me. Poor children learn to be independent early, let alone an orphan like me. I can only try to live frugally."

Gellert Grindelwald said calmly, "Once you have magic, everything else will come rushing towards you like a tidal wave. Remember, Tom, Magic Is Might."

In the Study Space, Gellert Grindelwald was probably trying to prove that "Dark Magic is more interesting than Fantastic Beasts."

Perhaps in order to save face in front of his "senior colleague" Andros, he immediately unleashed his trump card.

"To completely kill the fire dragon, limiting its flight advantage is the most urgent problem to solve. Only by keeping it on the ground and fighting it can we have a chance to kill it."

Gellert Grindelwald raised his wand. "This is my own Dark Magic — Hand of Hell."

Boom! The flat ground suddenly cracked open, and two giant energy hands wrapped in blue flames emerged from the crack, clenched their fists tightly, and then exploded with a bang.

Tom's eyes lit up. "Teacher, I want to learn this trick!"

Gellert Grindelwald smiled. "Your headmaster is a Transfiguration master, a rare talent throughout history."

"I have fought him many times. Among the large creatures he Transfiguration into is a fire dragon, and this spell of mine is to counter his Transfiguration."

With a wave of his hand, he summoned the countless blue flames, which converged towards him and condensed into a fireball the size of a basketball.

"There are more advanced applications to this, but that's for after you've mastered this spell."

"The first thing you need to learn is the Fiendfyre. By 'learn,' I don't mean you can set fires, but rather that you can use your magic to suppress Fiendfyre, control its spread, shape, and temperature."

"Magic that cannot be controlled by a wizard is garbage, and the person who uses such magic is even more useless."

Tom suddenly thought of Goyle, who seemed to have been burned to death by his own Fiendfyre, and a smirk crept into his heart.

The first spell is Fiendfyre; that's the difference between white magic and Dark Magic.

White magic emphasizes taking things one step at a time, progressing gradually, while Dark Magic allows you to learn whatever you want, including the Three Unforgivable Curses right from the start.

However, even if you learn how to deal with fire dragons, it won't be of much use, as fire dragons have no life force comparable to that of wizards.

The professors' Killing Curse couldn't kill the dragon outright; at most, they would weaken it and cause it to bleed from the nose. Fiendfyre and directly lethal Dark Magic were more effective.

With the "Heart of Dark Magic," Tom learns very quickly, even surpassing the learning speed of other spells.

This made Andros wonder if Tom was a natural-born dark wizard. Andros was also learning along with him, as the Fiendfyre didn't exist in his time.

He could barely ignite a tiny spark before Tom was already skillfully unleashing vast Fiendfyre, and then precisely controlling its spread in one direction.

The next step involves more precise operations: condensing and shaping, increasing the temperature, until finally, treating the Fiendfyre like a toy, just like Gellert Grindelwald.

For the next few days, Tom stayed home and studied Dark Magic madly with Gellert Grindelwald.

His credits were being consumed at an alarming rate, and he had to activate his Transcendental State twice a day. Fortunately, he had enough credits to squander in the short term.

In addition, Dark Magic is a field Tom rarely comes into contact with, and studying it every day can earn him a lot of credits.

Meanwhile, the outside world, both the Wizarding World and the ordinary world, is undergoing a dramatic change.

Suddenly, more than a dozen new countries appeared in the world, and dozens of countries suddenly lost their big brother.

The Muggle world gained a bunch of messy governments, and the Wizarding World gained a bunch of inexplicable Ministry of Magic.
