Come at me head-on
"Andros, the multiplier theory, you mentioned before that life essence multiplied by soul essence equals total strength, approximately what is my life essence?"
Andros paused for a moment. "An ordinary person would be one. You've taken the enhancement potion and fused with dragon blood, so you should be between two and a half and three now."
"What is the essence of the soul?"
0.8
Tom frowned. "Why is it so low?"
"Because you are young, the essence of your soul is related to age, experience, and comprehension. You are only eleven years old, and your experience is insufficient. 0.8 is already considered high; for an average adult, it's 1."
"Then the total strength is three times 0.8, which equals 2.4."
"Yes, if you can raise your soul essence to level one, your total strength will become level three. Raising it to level one two will make it level three six. For every 0.1 point increase in soul essence, your total strength will increase by 0.3 points."
Tom calculated that his current strength, capable of killing a fire dragon, is 2.4.
If his soul essence is elevated to level one, he can kill stronger opponents; if it is elevated to level one-two, he can kill a whole group.
"The reward for the second trial is increased comprehension; as comprehension increases, the essence of the soul will also improve."
"Yes," Andros said, "So the second trial is more important than the first."
"The first trial enhances the essence of life, while the second trial enhances the essence of the soul. Both areas must be strengthened for overall strength to be truly powerful."
Tom put away his wand, left the space, and returned to the cabin.
Gaining the unicorn's approval was an even harder task than slaying a fire dragon. He closed his eyes, his mind racing.
The first thing Tom had to do the next day was deal with the dragon's corpse, which proved to be much more complicated than he had anticipated.
The scales must be removed one by one, and the bones must be dismantled one by one. Every step of the process must be flawless, or it will be ruined.
Dragon heart, dragon eye, dragon horn, dragon claw, etc., each one is a top-grade material, each one is worth hundreds of Galleon.
Tom built a makeshift shed and used his Transfiguration to conjure a sharp skinning knife, working from dawn till dusk.
Phoebe came along at first, wanting to help, but when she saw the dragon's ferocious face and smelled the pungent stench of blood, her face turned pale, Tom told her to sit down to the side.
Phoebe, driven by her competitive spirit, felt looked down upon and turned to become the logistics team leader, wiping Tom's sweat and handing him tools.
Tom glanced at the handkerchief he was using to wipe his sweat; it was white, embroidered with a small flower, and had a faint fragrance at the edges.
He casually stuffed the handkerchief into his pocket and continued working.
After dinner, Phoebe brought over a group of Veela girls to give Tom a massage.
Tom spent his days indulging in a life of luxury, but when he returned to the cabin, he was repeatedly trained by Gellert Grindelwald and Andros, causing his strength to skyrocket.
I was originally planning to hide from Snape for a few days before school started, but now?
hide?
I'm not hiding!
Come on, let's face this head-on!
Three days later, the dragon's corpse was finally cleaned up. Tom packed the last batch of materials into the Undetectable Extension Charm bag and counted them.
One dragon heart, twenty bottles of dragon blood, one whole Dragon Hide, more than one hundred dragon bones, a pair of dragon horns, thirty-two dragon teeth, and twenty dragon claws.
Everything was labeled, everything was neatly arranged, and Tom even brewed some tonics.
Having learned from the previous experience, this time it was a breeze, and we succeeded on the first try.
Only one-fifth of the Dragon Heartstring was used, but the Sphinx's eyeballs were all used up; a total of 20 bottles were made.
Tom drank a bottle himself to test the effect, and it was indeed much weaker than before. After all, the Dragon Blood had been completely fused, so drinking this medicine would naturally have a much lower effect.
Since I couldn't finish the bottle myself, I thought of Phoebe, which costs 1,000 Galleon a bottle, and I can try it first and pay later.
Giving it away for free is out of the question; only Daphne would receive such treatment. Selling it to her is already a big favor.
If it were Malfoy, Tom would have to think twice even for 10,000 Galleon.
Phoebe's eyes widened when she heard the price. "Felix Felicis only costs a few hundred, but your medicine is made of gold?"
Polana readily agreed, handing over her money. After finishing her drink and practicing the movements for two days, Phoebe's eyes lit up. "Is there more? I want as much as you have!"
"Four bottles at most." The rest will have to be left for Daphne and Hermione; we'll have to think carefully about what Hermione will use to exchange them.
"Tom, give me some more." Phoebe hugged Tom's arm and shook it, her coquettish skills at their peak.
Unfortunately, Tom had been in the Veela Tribe for so long that his composure was as strong as an old monk in meditation, and he remained completely unmoved.
Finally, Phoebe unleashed her trump card. "What about Gabrielle? Aren't you going to leave a few bottles for the little girl?"
Gabrielle has been clinging to Tom every day lately. With Tom around, her sister doesn't scold her, and the little girl has simply become Tom's sidekick.
Tom hesitated for a moment but still shook his head. "She's too young, let's talk about it when she starts school. I don't have enough materials. If you can get the Sphinx's eyeball, I'll make it for you."
Phoebe was so angry she gritted her teeth. Her coquettishness was useless; she softened at the mere mention of her younger sister. What a jerk!
Back in the cabin, Gabrielle sat on the rug in front of the fireplace, her silver hair tied in two small braids, holding a plush toy in her arms.
The doll looked strange; it resembled a rabbit, but its ears were too long and drooped to the ground.
When she saw Tom come in, her eyes lit up, and she scrambled up from the carpet and ran over.
"Brother Tom!"
Tom crouched down to look her in the eye. "Gabrielle, what brings you here?"
"Mom brought me to find your sister. Mom said that Tom is leaving and asked me to come and see you off."
Tom reached out and ruffled her hair. "Thank you."
Gabrielle held up the doll she was holding. "This is for you. It's Little Ears. I made it myself."
Tom took the doll and examined it from all angles. The stitches were crooked, one eye was bigger than the other, and the ear was sewn on backwards.
He smiled. "Well done, I'll keep it safe."
Gabrielle's eyes shone like two stars. "Really? Don't you think it's ugly?"
"Not ugly. Very cute."
Gabrielle jumped up happily, then tiptoed to Tom's ear and whispered, "Brother Tom, I have a secret to tell you."
"What secret?"
"My sister tries on clothes in front of the mirror every night, for a long time, and she even smiles at herself in the mirror."
As Phoebe brought in the soup, Gabrielle quickly covered her mouth, her eyes narrowing into slits with laughter.
Gabrielle took a sip of soup and looked up again. "Brother Tom, can you conjure something up for me?"
Tom took out his wand and gently touched the candle on the table.
The candle flame leaped up and transformed into a small silver bird, which circled above the dining table before landing in Gabrielle's hand.
Gabrielle's eyes widened, her mouth forming an "O" shape. "Amazing!"
Phoebe looked at the little silver bird, then at Tom. "Your Transfiguration is amazing."
"Can you teach me?"
"You can't learn this. This is Magic Molding, Beauxbatons doesn't teach it."
