Greengrass's Fortune
These wizards were just showing off their skills and trying to appear sophisticated.
After hearing Tom's request, Mrs. Greengrass immediately packed her things and left the castle to help him gather materials.
When he woke up, Daphne and Astoria had already prepared afternoon tea in the tea room.
Daphne sat to Tom's left, and Astoria sat opposite him.
The three-tiered dessert stand has sandwiches on the bottom, scones on the middle, and macarons and fruit tarts on the top.
Daphne pushed the smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich towards her, saying, "Try this, I like it, it's very fresh."
Tom took a bite; the bread was soft, and the salty umami of the salmon and the rich cream cheese blended together nicely. "Not bad."
Astoria quietly pushed a small piece of Earl chocolate mousse in front of Tom. "This is delicious too."
Her big eyes sparkled, eagerly awaiting his taste.
Tom glanced at the mousse, sprinkled with gold leaf, as exquisite as a work of art. "Is it sweet?"
"A little," Astoria said softly, "But not too cloying."
Tom took a bite; it wasn't cloying at all. The delicate aroma of Earl balanced the sweetness of the chocolate, but it was still too sweet for him.
"Astoria, Tom doesn't like things too sweet," Daphne said, taking a bite herself and leaning over to remind him.
Astoria paused for a moment, then quickly took the mousse back and replaced it with a plate of baked lobster. "And this? It's salty."
Tom looked at the plate of lobsters; the shells had been peeled off, the lobster meat was laid out intact on the plate, and it was drizzled with a garlic butter sauce.
He picked up his fork and took a bite. The shrimp was springy, and the butter was delicious. "This is good."
Tom took a bite, nodded, and praised, "Both are good. Parla's cooking is getting better and better."
"Hehe, it's all thanks to Mrs Abbott's excellent teaching!" Daphne smiled, her eyes crinkling. Her relationship with Hannah Abbott was now even better than with her roommate.
They often went out for a snack after class with Hannah and Susan Amelia Bones.
Daphne is doing well; Tom accompanies her to training every week, so her weight is well-controlled. It's just that her face is still chubby, and her baby fat is more noticeable.
The twelve-year-old girl looked even cuter, but Hannah and Susan were in a bad situation; they had gotten so fat they were almost unrecognizable.
After afternoon tea, the three strolled through the castle. Tom raised his hand and released the three unicorns from the suitcase.
The castle grounds were large enough for the three little ones to run around freely. As soon as the unicorn came out, it first affectionately rubbed against Tom, and then gently called out twice to Daphne.
Daphne often accompanied Tom to the Forbidden Forest during their school days, and had long been familiar with the animals there.
Big Treasure Second Treasure stepped onto the grass, curiously observing their unfamiliar surroundings, while Little Three ran around on the grass, his silvery-white mane shimmering in the sunlight.
Daphne crouched down and patted Big Treasure's head. Big Treasure enjoyed it and squinted his eyes. Astoria stood at a distance, not daring to approach.
Tom smiled and encouraged her, "Don't be afraid. Unicorns are the gentlest to little girls like you. As long as they don't mean any harm, it's okay to touch them."
Tom walked over, picked up the Little Three, and handed her to Astoria. "Try her."
Astoria took the Little Three, her hands trembling nervously. The Little Three snuggled against her and licked her fingers with her tongue.
Astoria's hands stopped trembling, and the corners of her mouth slowly turned up, her smile gentle, like the wind blowing across a lake.
"She likes you," Tom said.
Astoria lowered her head and gently stroked the Little Three's mane. "She's so soft."
Anyone who's into lolis knows that silver hair and red eyes make up the best loli.
Although Astoria has blue eyes, her silver hair gives her a significant advantage.
Although her silver hair was dull and dry, without any luster, she was well-behaved, quiet, and never made a fuss, embodying the image of the perfect daughter in many people's fantasies.
Tom wondered to himself that this was probably still caused by the Blood Curse. He wondered if the little girl's silver hair would turn golden if the Blood Curse were lifted one day.
Seeing the interaction between the Little Three and Astoria, Daphne put her hands on her hips and pretended to be jealous, making a fuss.
"You little ingrate! I fed you for two weeks before you finally started sidling up to me."
"You fawned over Astoria the moment she arrived. So you're just playing favorites based on looks, aren't you?"
"Sister." Astoria said shyly and coquettishly, but her hand honestly touched the unicorn's neck, her eyes narrowing into slits with happiness.
Tom leaned against the castle wall, watching the two sisters play with the unicorn with a smile, and his mood lightened as well.
If I could retire after achieving great success, find a secluded spot by the mountains and water, build a castle, and live a peaceful and stable life with my future wives, that wouldn't be bad at all.
Usachi couldn't stay in the pocket any longer, so he flapped his little wings and flew out to join the fun.
She looked at the unicorns curiously; all three unicorns raised their heads at the same time, their bodies tense.
Usachi ignored them, landed on Astoria's shoulder, and nuzzled her cheek with his head.
After playing for a while, Astoria started panting heavily, and her face turned a little pale.
Tom quickly waved his hand, letting the unicorn explore its surroundings on its own. Usachi, understanding the situation, also scurried back into the pocket, waiting for Tom's meteorite feast.
Tom was still worried and asked Daphne, "Are there any Fantastic Beasts on those two mountains behind the unicorn that could threaten it?"
Daphne shook her head decisively. "There are Fantastic Beasts in the back mountain. I don't know exactly what they are, but there are definitely no powerful groups or high-risk animals."
"Tap will regularly inspect and collect materials, and if he finds anything dangerous, he will ask the Ministry of Magic to come and remove it."
Tom was relieved and followed the two sisters to the fortress where the warehouse was stored.
The basement of the fortress was entirely warehouses, divided into several rooms, including a vault for storing Galleon and a treasure vault for storing gems and precious metals.
There are also animal and plant material storage rooms, but the meteorite Tom wanted was left unnoticed in a corner of the junk storage room.
The vault was filled with piles of gold coins, so brightly lit they hurt the eyes. Various gemstones, red, blue, and green, were stacked on the velvet cushions like a heap of candy.
The animal material storage room was filled with glass jars containing organs from all sorts of Fantastic Beasts.
Bundles of herbs were drying in the plant material storage room, and a faint medicinal fragrance filled the air.
Upon entering the storage room, Usachi went berserk, heading straight for the meteorites, a pile that weighed several hundred pounds in total.
She picked up a meteorite bigger than herself and started gnawing on it, the crunching sound echoing through the warehouse.
Tom put the remaining meteorites into his Undetectable Extension Charm bag and rummaged through the warehouse to see if there was anything useful.
He spent the entire afternoon rummaging through the warehouses, picking and choosing here and there.
Over the next few days, Tom set a fixed schedule for himself: practicing the Flying Spell in the mornings.
