In the Wizarding World, fire dragons are the dividing line between a wizard's strength and that of a wizard. A wizard who can barely handle a fire dragon is considered excellent.

Being able to suppress a fire dragon single-handedly makes one an outstanding individual, while slaying a dragon alone is a feat that can be considered a strength regardless of country or age.

"But you're still a child," Newt Scamander tried to persuade him further.

"Precisely because they are children, they need to experience more things," Tom said, raising an eyebrow.

"If you don't experience the dangers of the Wizarding World now, will it be too late to cry when something really happens later?"

Newt Scamander is bad at talking, and even three of him couldn't out-argue Tom, so he had no choice but to give in and let it be.

The two did not leave Thunderbird Town immediately, as doing so would alert the enemy. Moreover, there was little cover in the desert during the day, and the enemy might not dare to make a move easily.

They went through all the shops in town as planned, and Tom bought a lot of souvenirs.

Thunderbird model, a quill pen made of real Thunderbird Feather, and a crystal ball that can record the lightning the Thunderbird attracts—I wish I could bring the whole town back with me.

That evening, the two enjoyed a hearty meal at a Texas barbecue restaurant before leisurely leaving the town, hopping on their Flying Broomstick, and disappearing into the dark night sky.

Arizona summers are exceptionally hot; even at night, when you're flying at high speed on a broomstick, the wind still carries a hint of heat.

The moonlight shone on the desert, casting long shadows of the cacti. The two people didn't fly very high, only about ten meters above the ground.

After flying for almost half an hour without encountering any unexpected incidents, Tom was almost convinced that the enemy had backed down and was too scared to come out.

But just as they flew to a vast plain, the earth suddenly cracked open violently, and several beams of magical light shot towards the two of them!

Tom reacted extremely quickly, immediately jumping off his broom, unfolding his wings, and using a flight spell.

His movements were as agile as a black bird, easily dodging several spells aimed at him.

It was clear that he was caught in the crossfire; the spells had even missed their mark before Accio towards him.

Newt Scamander, on the other hand, faces several times more spells than he does.

Newt Scamander jerked his broom to slow down, and at the same time, a small Occamy slithered out of his shirt pocket and instantly grew wildly larger.

In the blink of an eye, the snake's body grew thicker than an ancient tree, tightly wrapping Newt Scamander in its body.

The curse struck the Occamy's scales, leaving not even a white mark, but instead thoroughly enraging it.

Once Newt Scamander landed safely, eight wizards emerged from the shadows, their wands pointed at them.

The leader was a scarred man wearing a gray robe with a cigarette dangling from his lips.

"Scamander, it's been a long time."

The Occamy roared as it charged toward the enemy, its thick tail whipping around and shattering the enemy's formation.

Newt Scamander also took the opportunity to open his briefcase, and the Fantastic Beasts that had been waiting for a while rushed out.

The Graphorn charged out, its head lowered, its horns gleaming coldly. The Kneazle flanked it from the side, moving as fast as a shadow.

The Erumpent stood at the very back, their tails held high, their venomous spikes gleaming purple in the moonlight, each one exuding a menacing aura.

Tom waved his wand, and a blazing fireball fell like a meteor, instantly illuminating the entire plain and allowing him to see the enemy's formation.

In the distance, in the darkness, three wizards rode brooms at full speed to provide reinforcements.

The battlefield instantly descended into chaos. The Occamy coiled around two wizards, while the Erumpent charged forward with its sharp horns.

The Graphorn moved slowly but possessed immense strength; it pinned down a wizard with one hoof and simply wore him down.

The three Kneazle kept splitting apart, causing the remaining three wizards to scramble and misplace their spells.

Seeing that Newt Scamander had stabilized the situation, Tom stopped paying attention and turned to look at the three reinforcements that were getting closer.

He spread his wings and charged forward like an arrow. The wizard on the broom hurriedly launched an attack, but he nimbly dodged it.

In the blink of an eye, Tom rushed to the wizard at the front and grabbed him by the throat.

With a sudden tug, he pulled the person off the broom and slammed them to the ground.

The powerful impact caused the wizard's eyes to roll back instantly, and he fainted.

"Ryan!" another wizard roared. Tom's heart skipped a beat; that accent—was it Germany?

While he was trying to guess where the group of people came from, his hands never stopped moving.

"Spiky Spiky Punch!" Tom waved his wand, and a nearby Giant pillar instantly came to life, its two branches transforming into arms.

It slammed down with a whooshing sound, its palm covered in dense, sharp spikes that sent chills down one's spine.

The wizard who had just roared was so frightened that he jumped off his broom. The momentum from flying at high speed made him roll several times before he came to a stop, barely managing to avoid the Giant pillar's slap.

His companion, however, was not so lucky. He tried to dodge on a broomstick, but his flying skills were too poor.

The body dodged, but one arm was pierced by a sharp spike and was forcibly lifted up, its shrill scream echoing through the night sky.

Tom seized the opportunity to unleash a Reductor Curse, shattering the wizard's Iron Armor Charm as he struggled to his feet.

Immediately afterwards, a Stunning Spell was hidden in the shadow of the Reductor Curse, easily hitting its target.

In just a few seconds, the three wizards who came to reinforce were taken down before their ambushing companions.

Tom didn't kill them; he wanted to know who had sent them to target Newt Scamander. He simply tied them together with rope and took their wands.

Meanwhile, Newt Scamander's battle was also nearing its end.

He and the Fantastic Beasts worked together flawlessly, defeating their already overwhelmed enemies one by one.

When Tom flew back with the three bound wizards, only the strongest middle-aged wizard remained on the battlefield, struggling to hold on.

He was able to use Apparition in the battle, which allowed him to barely escape the onslaught of Fantastic Beasts.

But as soon as Tom returned, he immediately cast Anti-Apparition Jinx, cutting off his escape route.

Finally, he was tightly coiled by the angry Occamy, unable to even move a finger.

Newt Scamander and Tom didn't knock him out; he's the only one who can speak now.

Seeing the raging fury in the middle-aged wizard's eyes, Newt Scamander frowned and asked calmly.

"Sir, I don't think I've ever seen you before, nor have I ever had any dealings with your companions. Why are you attacking us?"

The sorcerer's leg was badly swollen from being grazed by the Erumpent's tail. He was pale and his forehead was covered in sweat.

The wizard gritted his teeth, his voice filled with hatred, and roared.

"Scamander, whether it's fifty years or a hundred years, the Acolyte will never let you go!"

Newt Scamander's expression changed, and Tom's look became strange as well.

Acolyte?

Gellert Grindelwald's followers.

The word "Acolyte" is now almost buried in the dustbin of history in the wizarding world.

But in the eyes of the older generation of wizards, it was something that made their scalp tingle just by mentioning it.

Compared to them, Voldemort's Death Eater sound like child's play.
