Before long, the lounge was mostly empty, as the students were all eager to return to their dormitories to write letters home.

Daphne and Astoria also got up, intending to go back and contact their mother, but Tom stopped them.

"You don't need to write. I just wrote a letter to Auntie and had Parla send it back." The two sisters then stopped and sat obediently next to Tom.

As class approached, a large flock of Hogwarts owls flew out, each clutching a letter written by a Slytherin student in its talons.

When the students returned to class with big smiles on their faces, they all exuded an excitement of "doing something big".

Tom's words truly resonated with them; Slytherin had been silent for far too long.

This time, let's use the incident of driving Lockhart away as a warning to Albus Dumbledore that they are not to be trifled with.

Every young wizard involved felt a sense of accomplishment, as if they had "done something big," and wrote their letters as serious as possible.

They wished they could portray Lockhart as an utterly wicked liar and themselves as victims whose futures had been ruined.

Such a commotion had already spread throughout the entire castle.

In the afternoon, Tom went to his History of Magic class, but the Hufflepuff wizards weren't really paying attention.

In fact, they didn't listen to Professor Binns's lectures anyway, and they would turn around to look at Tom once every minute on average, their eyes full of curiosity and awe.

Hannah and Tom were close, and while Professor Binns was engrossed in reading his textbook, she secretly turned her head.

She leaned close to Tom and whispered, "Tom, do you know how miserable Lockhart is right now?"

Tom curled his lip, looking disdainful. "How could I not know who I beat up? I reckon Madam Pomfrey won't be able to cure him in a few days."

"But you clearly only lashed me a few times!" Hannah said in a low voice, her face full of astonishment.

"Some students have already sneaked into the Hospital Wing to see Lockhart. He's all bruised and battered; the wound just won't heal, and he's groaning in pain."

In the Wizarding World, superficial injuries are nothing. A little bit of Dittany potion and a medical bandage will heal them in a few hours without leaving a scar.

But Hannah didn't know that Tom had imbued the whip with lightning magic, and now Lockhart was not only in pain, but also itchy and numb, tormenting him to the point of unbearable agony.

For Madam Pomfrey to heal his wounds, she first needs to eliminate the effects of the lightning magic, which is much more difficult than treating external injuries.

Susan also secretly turned her head, her round face full of regret.

"Tom, you should just hit him on the body. Lockhart's only redeeming quality is his face, but now he's all flaws."

"Susan, those lashes on his face were from me!" Daphne proudly raised her head, looking very pleased with herself.

"What's so interesting about that old conman? If you want to see a handsome face, just look at Tom."

Hannah and Susan nodded subconsciously, their eyes both falling on Tom's fair and handsome face.

Within two seconds, she blushed and hurriedly turned back, afraid that Daphne would misunderstand.

Susan glanced back again and joked, "That's different. Tom is yours; we wouldn't dare look at him casually."

"Lockhart may be far inferior, but at least it's 'public property'."

This made Daphne very happy, and she immediately took out the candy from her pocket and shared it with Hannah and Susan.

When Professor Binns looked up, the two quickly turned back; they were clearly repeat offenders.

For the rest of the day, both professors and students looked at Tom with unusually strange eyes.

Some admired his audacity in beating the professor, some were afraid of his boldness, and a few Lockhart's female fans were filled with anger.

She only dared to glare at him secretly, afraid that he would also hang her up and beat her.

Everyone knew that Tom had gone mad, beating the professor senseless in front of so many people.

Lockhart is still in the Hospital Wing, and as a result, Slytherin has lost 100 points.

Tom himself only needs to be put in solitary confinement for a month, and Snape is in charge of it. What's the difference between that and no punishment at all?

No one knows how Lockhart will react once he regains consciousness.

Meanwhile, at the Greengrass Manor, Mrs. Greengrass rushed back from the Ministry of Magic after receiving the letter from Parla.

She first chose the strongest owl to send the letter to France before opening the letter Tom had written to her.

She had only read half of it when her brows furrowed tightly, and her tone became indignant.

"Nonsense! Albus Dumbledore really gone senile? Just any Tom, Dick, or Harry can become a professor at Hogwarts? They might as well just cancel the Defense Against the Dark Arts course altogether!"

She already disliked Albus Dumbledore she thought about it, the more she hated him.

This old man, he doesn't care about what he should care about, and he meddles in things he shouldn't.

If he truly cared about the Wizarding World, why didn't he step in and deal with the You-Know-Who when he first rose to power?

Instead, they stayed at Hogwarts, letting the Death Eater ' ideas spread unchecked.

If Albus Dumbledore had openly opposed the You-Know-Who back then, would these Pure-blood families have dared to openly take sides? They would have kept their tails between their legs long ago!

As for things that shouldn't be my responsibility, that's ideological work with students.

He is the principal, and his job is to help students learn magic well, get good grades, and establish themselves in the Wizarding World in the future.

What a mess! They hired a fraudster as a professor—isn't that ruining the child's future?

Mrs. Greengrass grew increasingly angry, and following Tom's advice, she picked up her pen and began writing a letter.

While contacting other School Governor, they also sent people to investigate Lockhart's whereabouts.

As the Department of Magical Transportation, he couldn't find information on basic modes of transportation like Apparition or Knight Bus.

However, large-scale movements such as Floo Network, Portkey, and international travel are certainly registered.

If Lockhart's whereabouts are not recorded in his books and the dates of his adventures don't match, then he only has two options.

They must either admit the book is plagiarized or admit to illegally entering or leaving the country.

Either way, it's a serious crime, so just choose one and bear the consequences.

As for the collusion with the School Governor, it wasn't Tom's arrangement; it was Mrs. Greengrass herself who felt Albus Dumbledore gone too far.

The previous Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, although he often made mistakes, at least had real skills and could teach his students something.

Quirrell and Lockhart are just two useless idiots.

What does this mean? Is it because of her daughter's college admission that they're deliberately targeting the Greengrass family?

Even though Albus Dumbledore respected, the board of directors can't do anything to him, but they can at least keep him in a bind for a while.

Isn't it just being disgusting? Anyone can do that! Letters flew out of the Greengrass Manor.

Meanwhile, the parents of other Slytherin students also received letters of complaint from their children, and almost all of them were furious.

Regardless of social status or political stance, it is human nature for parents to love their children, especially the parents of Slytherin.
