A parallel world of Dragon Ball.
Universe 7.
At the foot of Mount Paozu on Earth.
Blue skies, white clouds, green mountains, clear waters, and the chirping of birds—a scene of perfect harmony.
A boy of about ten years old walked alone along the muddy mountain path, hands in his pockets and a foxtail grass stalk dangling from his mouth.
The boy's name was Li Xing.
Half an hour ago, he had been watching Dragon Ball in his rented room; three minutes ago, he had appeared in this world.
It was only when the system spoke in his mind that he realized he had transmigrated into Dragon Ball.
Walking along the mountain trail.
The leisurely Li Xing suddenly asked.
"System, I've reached Mount Paozu. Are you sure this is where Bulma first met Sun Wukong?"
A flat voice echoed in Li Xing's mind.
"Initial mission complete: arrive at Mount Paozu. Super Choice System binding initiated. Please wait."
Li Xing's face darkened, but he said nothing, continuing to walk up the muddy path toward the mountain.
After walking for half an hour, the voice returned to his mind.
"System binding successful.
Releasing choice mission."
"Option 1: Help Bulma successfully make her wish. Reward: 1 billion yuan.
Option 2: Help Sun Wukong wish for the resurrection of his grandfather, Son Gohan. Reward: Saiyan bloodline.
Option 3: Steal the Four-Star Dragon Ball. Reward: Master the ability of Devour (absorbed energy enhances the host's physique and spirit).
If no choice is made, the host will remain an ordinary person for life and be forever limp and powerless!"
Li Xing was instantly incensed.
He was only fifteen; he hadn't even tasted the pleasures of life yet, so how could he allow himself to be limp and powerless?
Pah!
System, times have changed!
Even children don't do multiple-choice questions anymore.
"I want them all! I choose everything."
The system stalled for a moment before a cold voice replied.
"Are you worthy?"
"Nonsense, you're the Super Choice System and I'm your host, how am I not worthy?"
"Worthy of what?"
"What do you mean?"
"Think about it. Think carefully."
Li Xing, acting like a hoodlum, finally realized what was going on.
He stumbled and face-planted into the ground.
Bang!
A loud thud followed by a cloud of dust left a clear, human-shaped crater in the road.
Ignoring the system for a moment, he rubbed his chin.
"Does transmigration also enhance that kind of ability?"
"Fucking the earth, fucking the planet?
Isn't this a classic scene?
Is this even more impressive than those who go around screwing animals?"
"Options one and two are completely contradictory. Please tell me how I'm supposed to choose both?"
Hmm, hmm, hmm. Li Xing snapped back to reality, his face flushing red.
"Then I'll choose two."
"You are only permitted to choose one."
Li Xing didn't argue.
As an orphan, he knew very well that when you can't beat someone, you have to go along with them.
When you can kill them, you do it fast, accurately, and ruthlessly.
"Option three."
Having just been watching Dragon Ball, Li Xing was well aware that there was no future in following Bulma and Sun Wukong.
With the help of the Super Choice System over the last ten years, he might have been able to keep pace with Sun Wukong's training, but once the concept of Saiyans reached Earth, they would only be left eating Sun Wukong's dust.
Since that was the case, he naturally needed to take a gamble.
A Devour ability sounded powerful no matter how you looked at it; even a fool would know which one to pick.
Looking down at the rushing river below, Li Xing found himself in a dilemma.
Choosing option three felt great, but how was he supposed to snatch the Four-Star Dragon Ball from Sun Wukong?
The combat power of a normal adult in the Dragon Ball world was 1; as a minor, his combat power was likely only 0.6.
Unless Bulma hadn't arrived at Mount Paozu yet, he could seize the chance to sneak into the house, steal the Four-Star Dragon Ball, and then make his escape via the water.
Seeing the clear tire tracks on the road, Li Xing immediately extinguished that thought.
Bulma had definitely arrived; he only hoped they hadn't left yet.
Otherwise, he would have to tail them all the way to King Pilaf's castle before he had even a sliver of a chance.
"Stealing is likely hopeless; I'll have to use some tactics."
Li Xing's eyes grew deep as he hurried toward a bend in the road.
He remembered that Bulma would be taking Sun Wukong back down the mountain along this very path.
"An ambush, or should I follow them?"
Before Li Xing could decide, the roar of a motorcycle reached his ears.
Li Xing's expression tightened.
"No, there's no time; I have to go for an ambush and hope the system pulls through."
Li Xing began to prepare rapidly.
A surprise attack required technique; if it were too clumsy, they would surely notice something was wrong.
Li Xing needed to act convincingly to keep them stunned for a moment longer, buying himself some reaction time.
He was no match for Sun Wukong right now.
And it wasn't just Sun Wukong; that hot-tempered woman Bulma carried weapons on her as well.
He didn't think he could withstand them.
The only thing he could leverage was the terrain: a river with a mountain on one side and a cliff on the other.
Vroom, vroom, vroom~
Li Xing hid quietly around a corner, pondering the feasibility in his mind.
He just needed to obtain the Devour ability.
According to the system, the Devour ability could strengthen his physique and mental power.
The Dragon Ball world only had the concept of Ki; there was no such thing as "physique" in isolation.
If one's Ki was strong, their physique was strong; if their Ki weakened, their physique would weaken as well.
On the other side, Sun Wukong sat on Bulma's motorcycle. "This vehicle runs faster than I do. How amazing!"
Bulma shouted triumphantly.
Being able to surprise Sun Wukong, whom she considered very impressive, made her incredibly happy.
Li Xing's eyes were as cold as a hawk's as he carefully tracked the sound of the motorcycle.
Three!
Two!
One.
"Now!"
He muttered in his heart, and Li Xing lunged out like a cheetah.
Dust flew into the air, and Li Xing's heart sank to the bottom of his chest.
In his pupils, the motorcycle was still about a meter away from him.
"I'm done for!"
Li Xing's reaction wasn't slow, but neither was Bulma's.
As a black shadow darted out, Bulma's face turned deathly pale.
"Ah!"
Li Xing slammed onto the ground on his knees.
"Damn, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have jumped out, I'm kneeling."
Screech~
Bulma slammed on the brakes with all her might, the brake discs and tires screaming in protest against the road.
Sun Wukong bared his teeth, shouting a warning to be careful.
With only a meter of distance at that speed, it was a matter of a single second; Li Xing had already given up struggling, faintly catching the scent of blood.
Wait, why was there a pungent smell?
Damn it, I'm perfectly clean, I couldn't have leaked anything.
In his final moments, a last thought flashed through Li Xing's mind as he felt himself soaring through the air.
I have to say, this death thing doesn't feel half bad!
It didn't hurt at all.
"Hey, are you okay?"
A child's crisp voice rang out, and Li Xing shuddered.
What was going on?
Coming to his senses, he felt the world spinning, a kaleidoscope of colors flooding his vision.
What was that? It felt uncomfortable and hard.
His own stick couldn't be this long or this stiff!
Li Xing looked down at the ground; the motorcycle lay across the road with oil leaking out, and Bulma was sprawled on the ground, covered in dust.
He himself was clutching Sun Wukong's Golden Cudgel, which was propped up in the air.
Li Xing's eyes lit up. "Hey, I'm not dead?"
Bulma was so furious she was clawing at the air, craning her neck to roar at Li Xing.
"You jerk, is whether you're dead or not the issue here? You scared us to death, we almost went off the cliff!"
Li Xing muttered a few apologies, but just as he was about to answer, his peripheral vision caught sight of a round, bulging object on Sun Wukong's satchel.
His mind raced.
"Put me down first, and I'll apologize and compensate you."
Sun Wukong retracted the Golden Cudgel, and Li Xing plummeted straight toward him.
"Whoa, catch me!"
Li Xing shrieked in panic, flailing his arms in the air while his eyes remained locked on Sun Wukong's waist.
Seeing Sun Wukong leap into the air, a sharp glint flashed in Li Xing's eyes.
