The purple-red Hakai Energy dissipated completely. The air hung empty, not even a speck of dust remaining.
Trunks took a deep breath, his golden aura slowly receding. He looked at his slightly trembling hands, a surge of indescribable relief welling up in his heart.
"It's over," Trunks whispered.
On a skyscraper in the distance, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and the others exchanged glances. "Thank goodness, that Lin Fan is finally dead!"
Piccolo's tightly coiled nerves finally began to relax.
In the ruins, Son Goku and Vegeta struggled to roll over, staring at Trunks in the air, their eyes filled with shock and the satisfaction of a great vengeance fulfilled.
Just when everyone thought the dust had settled.
Hum.
A dense, brilliant white light suddenly erupted from the spot.
This light possessed no killing intent, yet it carried an incredibly ancient and vast fluctuation.
Son Gohan raised an eyebrow. He was all too familiar with this aura. It was identical to the rule-bending fluctuations that occurred when Shenron appeared on Earth, yet it was a thousand times more massive!
"Could it be the Original Dragon Balls?"
Within the white light, Lin Fan—who had been completely erased by the Hakai Energy—began to "proliferate" in a way that defied all logic. Yes, not regeneration, but proliferation.
Under the stimulation of the Hakai Energy, the system's disguise had been stripped away, revealing its most primitive true form: an extraordinary, dense concentration of Miracle Power. Stripped of the system's shell, this power assimilated directly with the deepest, most extreme lust within Lin Fan's soul.
"Gurgle... gurgle..."
A hair-raising sound of squelching flesh exploded in mid-air. The white light expanded frantically, transforming in the blink of an eye into a massive, deformed monster hundreds of meters tall.
The monster's shape was grotesque, resembling a geoduck clam magnified countless times. Its body dripped with viscous, pink toxic miasma, and every inch of its greasy skin was densely packed with eyeballs filled with greed and obscenity.
Trunks was blown back hundreds of meters by the sickening aura, his stomach churning violently.
"What the hell is this thing!" Trunks roared.
The monster let out a shrill, manic laugh; the sound had lost all human characteristics, becoming a cacophony of screeching voices from countless men and women. The pink miasma poured down like a waterfall. The moment it touched the ground, even solid rock, steel, and concrete began to twist and squirm, turning into pools of foul-smelling pink sludge.
The miasma spread rapidly, and everything in its path was forcibly assimilated.
"I can't let this thing spread!"
Trunks brought his hands together, his golden aura erupting once more. He pushed his energy to the limit, and a thick golden energy wave roared out, heading straight for the monster's massive body.
BOOM!
The energy wave hit the monster with precision. But the expected explosion never occurred. The white light on the monster's surface flickered strangely, and the energy wave Trunks had unleashed with all his might was like a stone cast into the sea, swallowed whole by that layer of light.
Not only that, but after absorbing the energy, the monster's size expanded by another circle, and the eyeballs on its body began to rotate even more frantically.
"Useless?" Trunks gritted his teeth, preparing to attack again.
But the monster gave him no chance. Hundreds of thick, pink tentacles burst from the base of the monster's body, dancing like a sky full of wild demons. With a piercing whistle, they swept out in all directions, blotting out the sky.
Its target was not just Trunks, but West City below. It intended to drag every living creature in the city into its body and devour them completely!
In the distance, Piccolo roared, "Get out of the way!"
But the tentacles were too fast and covered too wide an area; there was nowhere to escape.
At this critical moment.
A black figure appeared before Trunks without warning. Son Gohan pulled back his black hood, looking at the sky-filling pink tentacles, his eyes as cold as ten-thousand-year-old ice.
"Brother Gohan!"
Son Gohan didn't waste words. He didn't even adopt a fighting stance; he simply took a slow step forward.
BOOM!
There was no blinding golden light. His hair stood on end, turning gold with natural ease, and his emerald eyes radiated an unquestionable, absolute pressure.
Super Saiyan 1.
He didn't need Super Saiyan 2, let alone Super Saiyan 4. Son Gohan's current combat power had long reached a dimension incomprehensible to this point in time. Even in his most basic Super Saiyan 1 form, he possessed a battle power of ten trillion, enough to make the entire Earth tremble.
A bottomless, terrifying aura centered on Son Gohan, manifesting as a tangible, invisible qi that swept outward like a tsunami.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Those pink tentacles, which were about to touch the buildings of West City and sweep away Bulma and the others, didn't even have the chance to resist the moment they touched this invisible qi; they were instantly shattered into a mist of blood.
Furthermore, the pink miasma that had been spreading and corroding even rock was forced back by this violent energy, suppressed tightly within a hundred-meter radius around the monster, unable to advance even an inch further.
In the distance, Krillin's mouth hung open, his jaw nearly hitting the ground.
"That... that person is also a Super Saiyan?!" Krillin felt his brain could no longer process the day's information.
Piccolo stared fixedly at Son Gohan's back, his body trembling uncontrollably.
Too strong.
This strength was completely different from the eerie suppression of Lin Fan. This was a pure, extreme, and unreasonable absolute power. In the face of this power, he felt as though he were as insignificant as a speck of dust.
In the ruins, Son Goku watched that golden back, a fervor he had never felt before erupting in his eyes.
"What incredible power! But why does this aura feel so familiar?"
Vegeta gritted his teeth, his fists clenched tight. Although he had already guessed that the man was strong, the energy erupting from the person before him still left him feeling shaken, as if he were facing the helplessness of the entire universe.
Could he truly be the Legendary Super Saiyan of Saiyan lore?
High in the air.
The massive geoduck monster sensed a fatal threat. Every eyeball on its body instantly locked onto Son Gohan, emitting a shrill, piercing shriek. It frantically channeled the remaining Miracle Power, gathering white light above its head in an attempt to trigger a erasure at the level of reality itself.
But Son Gohan gave it no chance to execute the move.
His gaze pierced through the layers of white light and pink toxic miasma, locking directly onto the center of the monster's massive head.
There, an orb radiating an ancient aura flickered in and out of existence. Inside the sphere, three red stars were clearly visible.
The Three-Star Ball, an Original Dragon Ball.
Found it.
Swish.
Son Gohan's figure vanished into thin air.
The monster's eyes darted wildly, attempting to track its enemy's trajectory.
But it was too late.
Moving as if he had teleported, Son Gohan appeared directly above the monster's massive head.
Terrified, the monster instinctively mobilized all its newly sprouted tentacles, weaving them with the white light of the Miracle Power in an attempt to form a net of absolute defense over its crown.
But in the face of Son Gohan's dimension-transcending absolute power, all so-called rules and defenses were nothing more than empty forms.
"Die!"
Son Gohan shouted coldly.
He didn't use a ki blast, nor did he employ any flashy techniques. He plummeted from the sky, his right hand acting like an indestructible sword, stabbing fiercely into the flesh atop the monster's head, which was wrapped in white light.
Squelch!
The incredibly tough, aberrant flesh felt like a piece of scrap cloth in Son Gohan's grip. The muscles in his right arm bulged, his golden aura burning wildly as he exerted a sudden, downward force.
"Ughhhhhhh!"
The monster let out a scream of extreme despair and agony—it was the voice of Lin Fan.
Accompanied by a bone-chilling sound of tearing flesh, the massive monster, hundreds of meters tall, was ripped clean in two by Son Gohan!
A torrential rain of pink blood poured down, but before it could even hit the ground, it was completely vaporized by the high-temperature aura radiating from Son Gohan's body.
At the center where the monster had been torn apart, the massive Three-Star Original Dragon Ball lost its fleshy casing and was exposed to the air.
Son Gohan reached out his right hand, snatched the orb that exuded an ancient aura, and forcibly pulled it from the monster's body.
Hum.
As the Original Dragon Ball was extracted, the monster's massive body instantly stiffened. The layer of white light that had granted it its immortal properties dissipated entirely.
"No... my power! My harem..."
Lin Fan's weak, resentful obsession echoed in the air.
Son Gohan's eyes were cold. He raised a finger, and a highly condensed golden ki blast slammed directly into the torn remains.
BOOM!
Without the protection of the Miracle Power, the aberration didn't leave behind even a single cell under Son Gohan's bombardment; it was completely vaporized.
Lin Fan's consciousness was utterly wiped from existence in this timeline.
The sky returned to a clear blue.
A gentle breeze dispersed the last traces of the acrid, toxic miasma.
Son Gohan held the Three-Star Original Dragon Ball—which looked little different from the Earth's Dragon Balls—and slowly descended.
Trunks immediately rushed over, his eyes filled with excitement as he looked at the orb in Son Gohan's hand. "Brother Gohan, is this the Original Dragon Ball?"
Son Gohan nodded and tucked the Original Dragon Ball into his tunic.
He turned his head to look at Son Goku and Vegeta, who were sighing in relief amidst the ruins below, and at Piccolo and the others cheering in the distance.
The tumor that had turned this timeline into a mess because of Lin Fan had been completely excised.
Next, it was time to handle the aftermath.
Son Gohan raised the golden bracer on his wrist.
"Lord Popo," Son Gohan said to the bracer. "I have obtained the Original Dragon Ball. Now, how do I pull this timeline back onto its proper track?"
The patterns on the bracer glowed, and Popo's ethereal voice echoed in their ears.
"Well done," Popo's voice remained devoid of inflection. "You only need to use the Original Dragon Ball to wish for the world to be restored to its original state. Everything will return to its proper track, as if nothing had ever happened."
"A wish?" Son Gohan paused, confused. "But there is only one Original Dragon Ball..."
