Shortly after Karrot's fourth birthday, Lazuli discovered she was pregnant again. This time, she didn't tell Kashu, choosing instead to visit Bulma first. Capsule Corporation's medical equipment could precisely detect the fetus's condition, and she wanted to confirm everything was normal before giving Kashu a surprise. "It's a girl," Bulma said, smiling as she looked at the ultrasound image. "She's very healthy, and her energy fluctuations are quite strong." Lazuli looked at the tiny outline on the screen, a warm current surging through her heart. She remembered the scene of Karrot's birth, the way Kashu had clumsily held the infant, and the moment the man who never cried had welled up with tears. "Does Kashu know?" Bulma asked. "Not yet," Lazuli said. "I want to tell him myself." "He'll be very happy." Lazuli shook her head. "He isn't good at expressing joy. But I know he will care." She left Capsule Corporation and flew back to their home on the hill. Kashu was in the yard pruning the trees, while Karrot chased butterflies nearby. At four years old, Karrot had already learned to control his ki; he looked like an ordinary boy, and only the occasional flash of red light in his eyes served as a reminder that he was a Super Saiyan God. "Kashu," Lazuli said, landing beside him. Kashu put down his shears and looked at her. "What is it?" Lazuli took his hand and placed it on her stomach. "We're going to have a second child." Kashu's hand trembled slightly. He closed his eyes, using his God Form to perceive the life within Lazuli—a tiny, bright energy body, like a star that had just been ignited. "It's a girl," Kashu said. "Her energy is even stronger than Karrot's was at birth." "You can even sense that?" "My God Form allows me to perceive the essence of life," Kashu said, opening his eyes with a gentle light shining within them. "She is very healthy. You are healthy, too." Lazuli leaned against Kashu's shoulder. "Are you happy?" Kashu was silent for a few seconds, then said, "I don't know what word to use to describe this feeling. It isn't joy or excitement, but a kind of... peaceful contentment. Like watching the sunset, knowing the sun will rise again tomorrow." "That is happiness, you idiot." Kashu smiled slightly and reached out to wrap his arm around her shoulders. Karrot, tired from chasing butterflies, ran over and hugged his mother's leg. "Mom, is there a little baby in your tummy?" Lazuli looked down at her son. "How did you know?" "Karrot felt it," Karrot said, tilting his head. "Small and bright. Is it a little sister?" "Yes, it's a little sister." Karrot clapped his hands happily. "Karrot is going to be a big brother! Karrot is going to protect my little sister!" He ran into the yard and shouted at the sky: "Little sister! Come out soon! Big brother is waiting for you!" Lazuli and Kashu watched their son and couldn't help but laugh. During the pregnancy, Lazuli's energy fluctuations caught the attention of the base.
Her Super Android body resonated with the fetus, and the fetus's energy fed back into the mother through the umbilical cord, causing Lazuli's power to grow continuously throughout the pregnancy. This had happened with Karrot as well, but this time it was even more pronounced. "The fetus's energy intensity has already exceeded that of an ordinary Super Saiyan," Bulma said after a routine checkup, "and it's still growing. At this rate, her combat power might reach the level of a Super Saiyan 2 at birth." "Does this have any impact on Lazuli's body?" Kashu asked. "Not for now," Bulma said. "The Super Android body is highly adaptable. But there might be risks during delivery—the fetus's energy is too strong and could spiral out of control the moment she is born." Kashu's brow furrowed. "Is there any way to prevent that?" "The best way is for you to stand guard," Bulma said, "and use your God Form to stabilize the fetus's energy. Just like you did the first time." Kashu nodded. "I will." Lazuli touched her stomach, feeling the rhythm of the little life inside. She was used to the feeling of pregnancy, but this time was different—the fetal movements were more frequent, and the energy fluctuations were more intense, as if the baby couldn't wait to fight while still in the womb. "She's like you," Lazuli said to Kashu. "Belligerent." "It could also be like you," Kashu said. "You wanted to fight the moment you first saw me." "That was an exception." "You wanted to fight every time you saw me." Lazuli rolled her eyes. "You hold a grudge." Kashu smiled slightly and placed his hand on Lazuli's stomach. The fetus's energy sensed her father's God Form and quieted down, like a kitten being petted. "She's listening to your energy," Lazuli said. "She's getting to know me," Kashu said, "just like before Karrot was born." Karrot poked his head in from the door. "Mom, when is my little sister coming out?" "In two more months." "So long..." Karrot pouted. "Two months will pass quickly," Lazuli said. "You can use this time to think of a name for her." Karrot thought about it seriously. "How about Bulma?" "That's Aunt Bulma's name."
"Then how about Chi-Chi?" "That's Uncle Goku's wife." "Then... Cookie?" Lazuli covered her forehead. "You can't name her Cookie." Karrot lowered his head, feeling wronged. "Then Karrot will think of another one." Two months later, at the hospital affiliated with West City's Capsule Corporation. The same delivery room, the same corridor, the same bench. But this time, it wasn't just Kashu sitting on the bench; four-year-old Karrot was there too. Karrot sat next to his father, his two little legs swinging back and forth. Every few seconds, he asked, "Is my little sister out yet?"
"Not yet," Kashu answered patiently every time. "Does it hurt Mom?" "No, Mom is very strong." "Can Karrot go in and see?" "No, you have to wait until your little sister is out." Karrot sighed and leaned back against the chair. "Being a big brother is so tiring." Kashu looked at his son, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. Four-year-old Karrot was much more mature than his peers, but he still retained the innocence of a child. He was already a Super Saiyan God, but in front of his parents, he was always a child who needed care.
A loud cry came from the delivery room. Kashu stood up, and Karrot jumped off the chair. The door to the delivery room opened, and a nurse walked out holding an infant wrapped in a pink towel. "Congratulations, it's a girl." Kashu took the baby, looking at that wrinkled little face. Just like when Karrot was born, she was tiny and red, her eyes tightly shut, her little hands curled into fists. But her energy fluctuations were indeed stronger than Karrot's had been at birth—Kashu could feel a dormant power within her, like magma beneath a volcano, ready to erupt at any moment. "She's beautiful," Kashu said, his voice slightly hoarse. Karrot stood on his tiptoes, trying hard to see his sister. "Karrot wants to see! Karrot wants to see!" Kashu crouched down so Karrot could see the baby. Karrot's eyes widened, and he reached out a small hand, carefully touching his sister's cheek.
"She's so small," Karrot said. "Smaller than Karrot." "You were just as small when you were born." "Liar, Karrot has always been big." Lazuli walked out of the delivery room, her face rosy and her spirits high. She walked to Kashu's side and looked at her daughter. "What is her name?" Lazuli asked. Kashu thought for a moment. "Caulifla." "Why name her Caulifla?"
"Because the name means 'coming from God.' She is a gift God has bestowed upon us." Lazuli looked at her daughter and smiled slightly. "Caulifla, welcome to this world." Karrot held his little sister's hand and said earnestly, "Little sister, big brother will protect you. If anyone dares to bully you, big brother will flatten them." The infant seemed to understand, her little hand gripping Karrot's finger. Karrot's eyes lit up. "She's holding my hand! She likes me!" Lazuli stroked her son's head. "Of course she likes you, you're her big brother." Sunlight streamed through the window into the corridor, shining on the family of four. Kashu held Lazuli, Lazuli held Caulifla, and Karrot held his sister's hand.
In this moment, they were the happiest family in the world. Caulifla's growth rate was even faster than Karrot's. She rolled over at three months, crawled at five, stood at eight, and walked at ten. Her energy stabilized at the Super Saiyan level six months after birth, and by the age of one, she could spontaneously transform into a Super Saiyan—not through anger or training, but as naturally as breathing. "Her talent is even higher than Karrot's," Bulma said after a checkup. "This is impossible. Karrot is already a Super Saiyan God; how can Caulifla be stronger than him?" "Because she has two types of Godly energy within her," Whis's voice suddenly echoed in the laboratory.
Bulma was startled and turned to see Whis appearing at the door out of nowhere. His staff stood beside him, and his signature smile was on his face.
"Mr. Whis! Could you please stop appearing out of nowhere every time?" "Apologies, it is a habit of mine," Whis said, walking in and looking at the data on the testing instrument. "Caulifla inherited Kashu's God Form genes and also inherited Lazuli's infinite energy reactor genes. The fusion of two types of Godly energy gives her the potential to approach the realm of gods from birth." "Approach the realm of gods?" Kashu appeared at the door. "Are you saying she's stronger than me?" "No, not yet," Whis said, "but her ceiling is higher than yours. If nurtured properly, she could become the strongest existence in the universe." Kashu looked at his daughter lying in the crib; Caulifla was chewing on her own toes, completely oblivious to everything around her. "I don't want her to be the strongest existence," Kashu said. "I just want her to grow up safely." Whis smiled. "As a father, your thoughts are correct. But as the leader of the Earth Guardians, you should know—power is not for showing off, but for protection. Your daughter has the potential to protect others; this is her destiny, and also her honor." "Destiny can be chosen," Kashu said. "When she grows up, let her choose for herself." Whis nodded. "A reasonable attitude."
He turned to leave, then suddenly stopped at the door. "By the way, Lord Beerus has recently developed a keen interest in Earth's cuisine. He may visit in the near future."
"Him again?" Kashu frowned. "He is truly coming as a guest this time," Whis said. "As long as you treat him well, he won't destroy anything." "What does he like to eat?" "He likes everything, especially pudding." Whis vanished into the light. Kashu sighed and looked at his daughter. Caulifla had finished chewing her toes and had started on her fingers.
"Your grandfather is coming for dinner," Kashu said. "I hope he has a good appetite."
