'tap' 'tap' 'tap'
The high heels clicked on the wooden floor, making a somewhat harsh sound.
A woman in a long red dress was strolling leisurely towards the reception room, swirling a wine glass in her hand.
There were only a few scattered wall lamps emitting a dim light along the way.
Dim, damp, and with a hint of blood.
This perfectly matches how the Zoldyck is described.
A ruthless killer who knows how to make money.
A cold-blooded executioner with a wolf in sheep's clothing.
The entire family reeked of blood and money.
It's like a hellish path leading to the underworld.
'Crunch'
Coleman slowly pushed open the door, looking at his father sitting cross-legged on the bench, his tone carrying a hint of respect.
"Long time no see, Father."
Silva didn't even look up, moving his Heizi pieces to place the Queen on a square. "Long time no see, having fun?"
With a hint of sarcasm, he continued with a cold snort, " Norton Manor? Ancient Mountain Heavenly Lake Hot Springs? Seven-day tour of Boloria Bay?"
Of course, there are many more than these; Silva only mentioned a few of the more expensive ones.
Coleman sat at the other end of the bench, holding a white piece, and gently placed it down. "But you also gained quite a bit, didn't you?"
The Zoldyck reputation is useful enough.
But the reputation of God's Believers is also useful enough.
A simple "I was here" post actually helped the Zoldyck build dozens of intelligence stations and transit points.
What should have been a unique, family-run assassin family with no other helpers has now been transformed by Coleman into a small but fully-fledged corporate organization.
There are no directors or management teams.
However, the Zoldyck also successfully conquered many territories, expanding their assassination operations further and further.
With a success rate as high as 98%, it has won unanimous praise from both inside and outside the industry.
Silva raised his eyes, a half-smile on his face, "Is this your reason for turning billions of Jenie into ashes in an instant?"
His gaze gradually turned cold; he always felt it was a problem stemming from a lack of proper upbringing in his childhood.
However, as a twin Illumi, aside from being extremely greedy, is a true traditional Zoldyck.
I never try to get close to other criminal organizations.
But Coleman was different. This guy always used the excuse of "you're good, I'm good, we're all good" to gradually dismantle the local underworld forces, and eventually succeeded in letting the Zoldyck ' "tavern" take root.
Even so, Coleman still denies being involved in organized crime.
But what hadn't he done—burning, killing, looting, and plundering—except for the last one, stealing?
In particular, he actually burned a sum of dirty money right in front of the government, criminal gangs, and the Hunter Association!
Silva was puzzled; Silva did not understand.
Putting aside your courage, why are you burning it?
Don't you know your dad is really short of money at the end of the year? Couldn't you burn some fake money and bring the real money back to appease him?!
Coleman moved the white knight, looked up at his father, and smiled slightly, "Isn't that why those villains finally quieted down for a few months?"
Who would dare burn the national treasury reserves of a small country in front of a host of powerful forces?
Coleman dared, and not only dared, he silenced those people so completely they didn't dare utter a sound!
He has always believed that the best defense is offense.
Only by providing amusement for those who are always causing trouble for themselves can they realize their own limitations!
Silva, carrying the black horse, sneered, "And then what? Have you thought about the issue of stance?"
Coleman showed no sign of backing down, directly annihilating the opponent's chariot. "Today we concede a pool, tomorrow we concede a city. Father, appropriate concessions only bring joy to those with a conscience."
But don't expect to evoke any awe in the hyenas!
Silva ignored him and placed another chariot in the appropriate black compartment. "General, Coleman, my son, if not for this, how can we lure the enemy deeper? Retreat does not mean weakness; it is merely a delaying tactic."
Hyenas are like mosquitoes swarming over a pond; trying to wipe them all out is foolish.
Coleman looked at the chessboard and laughed even harder, "But, Father, dogs will always just be dogs; they can't think like humans. All we need to do is forcefully instill awe in them."
Even if it involves a bloody method.
What makes someone give up an attack is never verbal persuasion or showing weakness.
Instead, it's a radical tit-for-tat response.
"Fear is the only way to instill fear." Coleman's bloodshot eyes were tinged with agitation.
Coleman preferred unbridled tyranny to Silva's gradual, insidious approach!
People may not necessarily submit to a gentle and refined leader, but they will certainly fear a blood-soaked tyrant!
The first white knight to emerge stood diagonally opposite the enemy king.
The cold and expressionless knight seemed to hold a silver blade in his hand, aimed directly at the heart of the black king.
"Fast, accurate, and ruthless—the basic principles of an assassin's attack. Has Father forgotten them? They apply everywhere!"
With one move, the outcome is decided.
Silva looked at the chessboard beside him, then at his son who had grown up.
"Good, good, good! You're a promising young man!" He laughed heartily, patting Coleman on the shoulder with his heavy hand. "Go for it, it can't be too bad."
Silva had no desire to get involved with the dark forces, but due to family reasons, it was an unsolvable problem.
In his earlier years, he was quite adventurous and wanted to overturn the established rules and regulations.
After all, they're all ruthless executioners; what need do they have for contracts and terms?
Or perhaps it's a drinking party or dance, all sorts of casual probing. (Meow Meow says)
If anyone disagrees, stab them in the back. If they're still standing after the first stab, stab them again.
Humans, after all, will die.
But as time went by and the children grew up, Silva, who was once full of passion, gradually became calm.
They are entangled in interpersonal relationships and cannot extricate themselves.
Silva stood up, looked at the white-haired youth who was almost as tall as him, and smiled with satisfaction.
He liked the drive and energy in young people.
Like a sharp sword that can break through thousands of cages, it plunges into the black, swirling world, shattering all the locks and tearing the swamp to shreds.
"Live life to the fullest, do whatever you want in this wonderful time," Silva laughed. "After all, don't let this journey be in vain."
As for whether this will cause trouble next...
Silva Zoldyck isn't dead yet!
If all else fails, we can try looking for Zeno again.
Coleman smiled at the seemingly plausible but ultimately unconvincing words.
He looked at his father with a meaningful gaze and promised very seriously, "I will."
"And..." Just as Coleman was about to leave, Silva spoke again, "Tell me when you leave, otherwise your mother will..."
Thinking of Kikyo's death knell, Silva couldn't help but rub his temples.
Coleman smiled. "Of course, I will."
Silva tossed Coleman a stack of papers with bounty amounts listed, waved his hand, and started to shoo him away. "Go have fun, but remember to do your missions while you're at it! Don't always take money from home! And don't think you can just pay it back several times over!"
The money coming in keeps fluctuating so much; do you know how difficult it is for someone who keeps accounts?!
As the head of the household, Silva felt deeply exhausted by the task of bookkeeping.
Losing hundreds of millions for no reason, or gaining billions for no reason, are both headaches, aren't they?!
Don't underestimate me!
Coleman waved her hand, clicking her high heels on her feet. "Got it!"
