The secret passage was narrow at the beginning, only wide enough for one person to pass through.
The area ahead was pitch black; even the Curse Flame could only illuminate half a meter ahead.
The two entered the secret passage without exchanging words, simply moving forward in silence.
After about three or four minutes, the space gradually became larger.
The footsteps echoed.
"Luckily you didn't bring Hisoka." Manster looked around and noticed that the ceiling was covered with bats hanging upside down.
There are no interesting enemies here, only boring little animals.
"Otherwise he'll be bored to death."
Based on what Manster knew about Mr. Hisoka, this man seemed restless unless he was courting death.
I want to try and demonstrate everything I encounter.
Although he was aware of this, this kind of behavior would still cause a lot of trouble.
However, this guy runs incredibly fast, comparable to Coleman, and most people can't catch him.
Because of his unbiased, rational yet irrational image, many organizations actually like to work with him.
Fortunately, they didn't starve to death due to lack of funds.
" Hisoka? He's not suited to be here." Coleman looked at the bats above and smiled slightly.
The dark mass of bats seemed to be dozing; their eyes, which were originally incredibly bright, were now only half-open and half-closed. If it weren't for Manster's excellent night vision, he probably wouldn't have been able to see them at all.
Coleman knew that this was the eye of the Lord of Curses.
It's not some kind of bat.
"There is not a single living creature on this island."
With a soft voice, Coleman stepped forward, holding the Curse Flame.
As he spoke, he used his Nen to envelop Manster's body in a layer.
"First, the hunter who initially sealed the island feared a counterattack from the Lord of Curses, so he directly destroyed the island's life-sustaining foundation." He then added, "Second, the few remaining creatures were devoured by the lingering Lord of Curses."
Although Coleman didn't know how he used Nen to create the seal and then seal such a huge object.
But this did not stop him from expressing his dissatisfaction and ridicule of the move.
The idea of a seal sounds unreliable.
If you can kill them, then kill them directly. Not only should you eliminate them completely, but you should even grind their bones to dust.
We must ensure that there are no potential risks.
As for the seal, it sounds like it will be broken one day and wreak havoc on the world again.
As humans, there's no need for our race to create a cyclical disaster.
"Aren't we going to deal with these?" Manster asked, pointing to the 'small animals' on top.
Coleman didn't turn around. "No need, killing him will attract unnecessary attention."
That's one of the reasons he's not called Hisoka.
Who knows, that troublemaker might kill some unnecessary things.
Although Manster has a lot of flaws, the thing Coleman is most satisfied with is...
Be obedient and don't be ruthless.
Time passed second by second, and the secret passage seemed to have no end, leading forward.
It was pitch black all around, and a group of unidentified creatures were silently watching from above. This feeling might drive an ordinary person crazy.
But for Manster, this environment was extremely familiar.
Darkness, silence, solitude.
This is the typical life of someone who lives in the shadows.
Nothing is more comforting than silence.
However, Manster wouldn't like staying like this indefinitely.
Finally, after walking for almost an hour, he spoke up, "Tsk, I'm tired."
Coleman paused, then chuckled softly, "Want to leave?"
"No, I want to fight," Manster complained. "My body's practically rusting."
"Okay." Surprisingly, Coleman agreed very readily.
"Let's go outside then."
As he said this, he snapped his fingers.
A crisp sound echoed in the space.
Then, as if glass were shattering, the dark backdrop suddenly exploded.
The real ancient tomb began to appear.
Stone pillars, ghostly flames, totems.
Unidentified symbols, a treasure chest gleaming with golden light.
And in the distance, orange torches flickered.
"Huh?" Manster raised an eyebrow, his tone questioning. "You're here early? Why didn't you say so sooner?"
Clearly, he knew Coleman's intentions.
They simply wanted to find a place to kill time, waiting for the offerings to arrive at their destination.
Coleman looked at the stone door on his right and slowly said, "I'm looking for it too."
Although he had already found it long ago.
"I'm just showing you around because I don't want you to be bored."
Manster was speechless.
Who would want to wander around in secret passages for no reason? What scenery could they possibly see there?
Ignoring his subordinates' various issues, Coleman silently asked himself, "Is this the place?"
The Curse Flame replied with a hint of obsequiousness, "Yes, yes, Master, it's right here."
Compared to before, their attitude has completely changed.
"Then what you mentioned before..." Curse Flame asked tentatively, her tone ingratiating.
Coleman sneered inwardly, but his tone remained impassive, even carrying a hint of seduction.
"Rest assured, I will make you the new Lord of Curses!"
