"Killua, is today's training finished?"
Gloomy, lifeless.
From the end of the dark corridor, a voice that sounded neither human nor ghost emerged.
A child with white hair and blue eyes, no taller than a stool, gritted his teeth, his face filled with nervous anxiety.
This was Killua, the fourth son of the Zoldyck family, a white-haired youth.
His body pressed close to the wall, his nails extending like a cat's claws.
A little flustered, his gaze darted left and right, as if judging which direction the attacker would come from.
After waiting for over ten seconds, Killua could feel his heart pounding.
Fear, panic.
But the faint voice disappeared, and the empty corridor was as usual.
There was nothing.
Just as Killua slowly let out a sigh of relief, a familiar yet strange face suddenly appeared upside down before him.
His hair stood on end, and his heart skipped a beat.
His throat tightened, and Killua's blue eyes were filled with terror.
That face with black hair and black eyes, like a phantom, was too close!
The inorganic pupils stared fixedly at Killua.
But there was no luster or life within them.
Like a puppet, or a porcelain doll.
"B-Big Brother."
Killua mumbled softly, his entire body seeming to want to embed itself into the wall, not daring to approach the face before him at all.
After a long while, receiving no response from 'Illumi', Killua was somewhat bewildered.
Finally, the face before him couldn't maintain its composure, its cold expression instantly collapsing, and clear laughter came from the person's mouth.
"Oh my, I didn't expect that the fearless little Killua would be so afraid of Illumi?"
As he spoke, Coleman slowly removed his hood, a smile filling his face.
"You looked just like a little mouse just now!"
Killua finally recognized this white-haired person, just like himself.
"Second Brother!"
Coleman, who had been yelled at, showed no guilt for scaring him. Instead, he proudly released the threads and slowly landed on the ground.
"Oh, my little Killua, it's daytime now. How could Illumi possibly be home?"
Killua glanced at his watch; it was only five in the afternoon.
It was precisely the last period of Eldest Brother's work.
He breathed a sigh of relief and glared at his second brother, who had scared him, with a hint of complaint. "You're not working during the day, so what are you wandering around home for?!"
He even had the leisure to come and scare himself. Clearly, Father hadn't assigned enough tasks!
Coleman wasn't annoyed by Killua's accusation. He smiled, brushed off some dust, winked, and lazily said, "I don't want to go out and work during the day. It's too hot! Sweaty all over, what's so good about that."
With this time, it was better to find a nice spot, bask in the sun, and take a nap.
Night was the domain of the killer.
Killua tore off a blood-soaked gauze, muttering, "Don't you sleep at night? Doesn't it bother you to work the night shift every day?"
Coleman stared at Killua's wound, thought for a moment, and then, using his height advantage, lifted the child up like a chick.
"Hey, hey!"
Killua flailed in the air until he was held in Coleman's arms, then reluctantly settled down.
"Because I sleep during the day, and besides, the night is more interesting, understand?"
Darkness would be a protective color for many things.
Phantoms and fairies all revealed themselves at this time.
Wouldn't it be a great loss not to see them?
"Bandage it up later, don't let the late-returning Illumi see."
Coleman strode with his long legs, saying as he walked, "If he finds out, you'll definitely get a lecture."
"Ah, Coleman, Illumi has become increasingly sharp-tongued lately. Aren't you going to do something about it?"
Killua nestled in his brother's arms, twirling the slightly curly white strands of his brother's hair with his fingers, and whispered, "If this continues, he'll completely transform from a stoic, brutal, cold, and cool guy into a tsundere, sharp-tongued chatterbox of an Eldest Brother."
"Isn't that good? At least he won't just act without speaking all day, leaving people wondering where they offended him!"
Coleman was unconcerned. After all, Illumi was still that cold and cool guy in front of outsiders.
Only in front of these few people at home would he expose his sharp-tongued nature.
It was no big deal.
Hearing his Second Brother's indifferent tone, Killua couldn't help but have black lines streak across his face.
If things kept going like this, the persona Eldest Brother had worked so painstakingly to maintain would be completely ruined by him, wouldn't it?
From the brother-complex Eldest Brother whose possessiveness and desire for control were off the charts when Killua was three, to the sharp-tongued and reserved Eldest Brother of today.
Heaven knows what little Killua had been through.
"Alright, alright. If you're not satisfied with the current Illumi, go ask your Third Brother and see if he's intimidated by the original Little Illumi or not."
Coleman smiled, but his tone was extremely casual.
It was much more relaxed than when he faced Illumi or Milluki.
He was even willing to engage in idle chatter with this child.
Clearly, this gifted little boy with white hair and blue eyes was very much to Coleman's liking.
After all, this child was truly beautiful!
He was like a crystal-clear, glowing sapphire.
Those bright, azure eyes that yearned for freedom were something Coleman liked very much.
With just a little polishing, he could shine with a dazzling luster.
It was just that the tools for polishing needed to be carefully considered.
His thoughts drifted for a moment before he quickly pulled them back.
"Remember, if Father takes you to kill someone, act normal."
Coleman recalled the trial of his own family, frowned slightly, and whispered a warning.
"You must show a hint of fear or terror. If you really can't, a blank expression will do, but don't smile, understand?!"
This kid always ran off with him, and sometimes, it was inevitable that the boy would see him creating his "art pieces."
"Oh."
"Oh, what 'oh'! And don't show any disgust either!"
With a splitting headache, Coleman didn't want to be accused of leading the future head of the family astray.
Killua pursed his lips and didn't say a word.
Honestly, Father's killing wasn't as good-looking as Second Brother's.
Eldest Brother's killing wasn't as good-looking as Second Brother's either.
What Second Brother did was just like a work of art.
Was he not even allowed to praise it?
Fine, if he couldn't praise it, why couldn't he express his disdain for other people's methods?
Second Brother was a dictator!
"And another thing, there are thousands of ways to escape. If I catch you hurting Mother or your brothers, see if I don't spank you!"
Coleman gritted his teeth in threat; this little brat really would tear the roof down if he wasn't disciplined for a single day.
Last time, he had almost scratched Kikyo's face. If Illumi hadn't been quick enough to toss this Little Brat aside, Killua probably would have been beaten half to death by Coleman!
"Hmph!"
"Tsk, forget it. Where is little Alluka?"
Thinking of the child who had been taken away by Father that morning, Coleman couldn't help but frown again.
Hearing that name, Killua froze, his grip on Coleman tightening for a split second.
"I don't know."
Burying his head in his brother's arms, Killua said in a muffled voice.
He didn't want to give Second Brother away!
Clearly, he had better talent, so why couldn't Second Brother play with him every day?
Second Brother was so annoying; why did he have to spread his attention around?
Wouldn't it be better if he only liked him?
Reluctantly, Killua decided he could let Second Brother like Illumi a little longer.
But he definitely wouldn't share his brother with his younger brother!
"Don't make a scene, Killua. She is your Full Brother!"
"Hmph!"
Looking at the awkward child in his arms, Coleman couldn't help but chuckle.
He really had been staying at home for too long.
It was also because of Father and Mother's laissez-faire approach.
That made these children so close to him!
He wasn't a very kind person himself, he was a bad guy.
Why were they clinging to him?
Touching his handsome face, seventeen-year-old Coleman couldn't figure it out.
"Stop messing around, kid, your brother is in trouble."
Coleman tried his best to speak to Killua in a gentle yet serious tone: "If this isn't handled properly, you might never see Alluka again."
Hearing this, Killua panicked.
He quickly looked up, his eyes filled with longing and confusion as he looked at Coleman.
"What's wrong? What happened to Alluka?"
He said, struggling to get down.
"I want to go see."
Coleman held him tight, locking the child securely in his arms.
"What's the rush? Don't you have me? I'll ask and tell you!"
With a reprimand, Coleman was very displeased with Killua's impulsiveness.
Being scolded, Killua instantly became obedient, and a little wronged.
Coleman sighed and stroked Killua's white hair.
His eyes narrowed slightly, and his footsteps didn't stop.
He said faintly: "No matter how much Father dotes on you, he won't agree to you going to see him right now."
A dangerous, dark, and sinister aura enveloped Alluka.
Silva would never agree to let his child approach such an evil thing.
At the very least, until he understood, he wouldn't let Alluka out.
But Coleman was extremely curious.
He really wanted to go and see.
So he decided to go.
"Can Brother go see?"
Killua blinked his watery eyes, looking at his Second Brother.
Only when they were acting cute and asking for favors would these brats call Coleman 'Brother' directly.
Clearly, the clever little brat had started using his cuteness to manipulate Coleman.
Coleman gave him face and nodded.
"Of course."
Full of confidence, a smile of unknown meaning played on his lips.
"Of course I can."
