Background
Robin survived the destruction of Ohara and spent more than a decade living alone under false identities. With a 79 million Belly bounty placed on her while she was still a child, she became a target for bounty hunters and the World Government. Her life was defined by betrayal, suspicion, and constant flight, leaving her unable to trust others easily. 59 60
While hiding in West Blue at age twenty-one, Robin used a temporary hideout equipped with a concealed bathroom exit. After Dunn located her through Capone Bege's intelligence network, she escaped through that passage rather than trust the self-proclaimed Pirate Hunter. 59
Robin attempted to flee the island through a smuggler's dock, but Cipher Pol agents cornered her. Dunn intervened, directed her to his unflagged ship, and defeated the agents pursuing her. At the shore, she encountered Admiral Kuzan, whose appearance revived memories of Ohara and the life he had previously allowed her to keep. 60 61
Though Robin initially urged Dunn to leave her behind, his protection and willingness to confront Kuzan gradually changed her view of him. She later traveled with Dunn through Kano Country, the Four Blues, and into the Grand Line, becoming his first long-term companion. 61 68 80
Personality
Robin is cautious, perceptive, and highly adaptive. Years spent evading capture taught her to study local geography, maintain false identities, collect intelligence, and anticipate betrayal. 59 60
Her growing safety beside Dunn allows a more playful and teasing side to emerge. She becomes comfortable enough to banter with him, openly show her face rather than hide beneath a hat, and challenge him during training. 71 100
Robin is also practical about her value to the group. Aware that Dunn's strength far exceeds hers, she gathers intelligence, advises him on political threats and pirate crews, handles Guild matters, and insists on becoming strong enough that she will not be a weakness. 275 301
