Li Yi walked along the neighborhood road, a huge bunch of keys in hand. It was rent-collection day, and he was looking forward to another pile of cash coming in.

Of course, not everyone paid up. There was always one or two girls who had no money but still wanted to live there for free. Li Yi actually hoped there would be more girls like that. After all, he had no interest in money; his family owned several properties worth a fortune. Besides, he was face-blind, so there weren't many things he was interested in.

As Li Yi hummed a tune and prepared to discuss the rent with one of the girls, a young man with bloodshot eyes suddenly rushed out from the side and stabbed Li Yi in the kidneys several times. He was cursing and shouting something, but Li Yi couldn't hear him. He was already dead.

He vaguely heard something about sleeping with the guy's girlfriend...

As he sank into darkness, Li Yi was filled with regret. If Heaven gave him another chance, he would still discuss rent with a few girls—but he absolutely, positively wouldn't smugly post about it on his social media.

Suddenly, Li Yi felt dizzy, as if the whole world were spinning. When he opened his eyes again, he was astonished to find himself in a strange, multicolored passage! Brilliant light shimmered through it, its seven colors interweaving in a dazzling display.

A surge of inexplicable excitement welled up inside Li Yi. Was he about to join the ranks of the transmigrators? Was this the legendary Space-Time Portal?

He cautiously made his way forward, his gaze drawn to the images that flickered across the ceiling of the passage. They changed as quickly as scenes in a movie, each depicting a different place and story. Some showed ancient battlefields, where warriors fought desperately; others revealed mysterious celestial realms, where immortals drifted gracefully through the air; still others showed bustling cities, where people went about their busy, fulfilling lives...

Li Yi didn't lose himself in the extraordinary scenes. Instead, he kept walking, watching them as he went.

"One Piece!" Li Yi cried out. What man didn't have a dream of entering a world of anime? Who hadn't dreamed of becoming the man who would be Pirate King?

At that moment, the image showed an old man with a white beard holding a fruit that looked a little like a dragon fruit. He raised it up, seeming about to eat it.

Li Yi didn't know what came over him, but he suddenly reached out. Then he pulled the fruit out of the scene. The man on-screen froze, utterly dumbfounded. His Mera Mera no Mi was gone.

Li Yi was just as stunned. He could actually take things out of the scenes? Suddenly, he clutched his chest, feeling as if he'd missed out on a fortune. There had been a cultivation world earlier—why hadn't he tried to grab something from it?

The scene quickly vanished. When Li Yi looked up again, he saw an old man leaning on a cane, his face radiating disdain for the world. A row of people wearing Captain's Haori stood before him. The old man seemed to be holding a meeting.

"Bleach?" Li Yi's eyes lit up. It was the Shinigami world! Could he go there? It was another world he'd always longed to visit.

In the scene, the old man snorted and struck the ground hard with his cane. It instantly transformed into a katana. He planted the blade on the ground, clasped his hands behind his back, and seemed to be saying something.

Li Yi blinked, then unconsciously reached out. He grabbed the sword and yanked it out of the scene.

The captains who were being lectured stared wide-eyed as a hand suddenly reached out of thin air and snatched the Captain-Commander's Ryujin Jakka.

Li Yi stared blankly at the Ryujin Jakka in his hands. Had he really just taken it?

He was about to see how the Shinigami world reacted when the passage suddenly shook violently. Then he was hurled out.

As he was thrown, Li Yi clutched the Mera Mera no Mi and Ryujin Jakka tightly in both hands. After the world spun around him, he opened his eyes. He was in a dense forest.

The trees around him were tall and thick. Li Yi had no idea where he was. He looked down and saw the Mera Mera no Mi and Ryujin Jakka in his hands.

He secretly breathed a sigh of relief. With these two things, he had at least a chance of protecting himself, no matter what world he'd ended up in.

Suddenly, Li Yi froze. His hand seemed smaller than it should have been. His heart jumped, and he hurriedly looked himself over. He seemed to be in a child's body.

"Holy crap, did I take over someone's body?" Li Yi exclaimed. As for who the unlucky person he'd displaced was, Li Yi had absolutely no memory of him.

"Forget it. I'll eat the fruit first!" Without a second thought, Li Yi took a bite out of the Mera Mera no Mi.

A taste like a mouthful of crap shot straight to his brain. Li Yi almost threw up his dinner from the night before. He knew Devil Fruits tasted bad, but he hadn't expected it to be this disgusting.

Fighting back his nausea, Li Yi ate the entire fruit. He'd heard that one bite was enough, but with his life at stake, he decided to eat all of it.

By then, Li Yi's face had turned green. Anyone who ate a huge mouthful of crap would look awful.

He leaned against a tree and rested until he felt a little better. Then he clenched his fist. A tiny flame flickered above it, and Li Yi froze. What the hell? Other people who ate Devil Fruits might not immediately achieve something like intangibility, but surely they could manage more than a tiny flame.

What was this thing good for? Lighting someone's cigarette?

Boom! A muffled sound rang out in the distance. A powerful gust of air swept over Li Yi, sending him sprawling face-first into the dirt.

Li Yi scrambled to his feet and looked over. A cloud of smoke seemed to be rising in the distance. Whatever had happened, it looked powerful.

"What the hell kind of place is this?" Li Yi cursed. He scrambled away as fast as he could. This place was too dangerous. Even some random shock wave could send him flying.

But he hadn't run more than a couple of steps when someone tucked him under an arm. Then the person raced through the trees like a wall-running shinobi. Li Yi was stunned. That way of running looked familiar.

He looked up. Oh, damn, that white-haired guy looked even more familiar. He had long white hair, three red markings on his chin and at the corners of his eyes, and a ringed symbol on his forehead. That was a Konoha Headband.

The man's identity was obvious: Konoha's Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama.

Suddenly, Li Yi felt something warm and wet on his face. He looked again, and his eyes widened. A bloody hole had appeared in Senju Tobirama's chest, and his blood was splashing across Li Yi's face.
