The destruction of Chentang Pass forces him to confront consequences beyond himself. Although his mother urges him to escape, he refuses to abandon his parents and the townspeople. History

Lingzhuzi and Childhood at Chentang Pass

Before his birth into the Li family, Nezha was Lingzhuzi, a child transformed from a spirit stone on Kunlun Mountain. He cultivated at Yuxu Palace before being sent to reincarnate at Chentang Pass in preparation for the Investiture of the Gods Catastrophe 847.

As the young son of Li Jing and Lady Li, he possesses extraordinary treasures without yet having begun cultivation. Lu Chuan’s first visit ends badly when Nezha attacks him. Their confrontation deepens the child’s resentment rather than immediately correcting his behavior 95 96 97 99.

Dragon Conflict, Death, and Rebirth

Nezha kills the Sea-Patrolling Yaksha, provoking Ao Bing’s intervention. Although the dragon prince temporarily incapacitates and captures him with a dragon roar, Nezha subsequently uses the Universe Ring to overcome and kill him 98 99 100.

Ao Guang demands justice from the Li family. Nezha leaves for his master, feeling that everyone unfairly blames him, and later ambushes Ao Guang before the Dragon King presents his complaint in Heaven. The dispute escalates until the Dragon Kings surround Chentang Pass and Ao Guang floods the city 105 107 108.

Returning to the ruins, Nezha refuses to flee while his parents and the townspeople remain in danger. He confronts Ao Guang, but his Universe Ring is knocked away. After being sentenced to death, he carves away his flesh and bones; Ao Guang then attempts to annihilate his soul despite that payment. Li Jing intervenes and is gravely injured, while the protective bellyband and Lu Chuan’s negotiation preserve Nezha’s soul 108 110.

During the rebuilding of Chentang Pass, Lu Chuan rebukes him, and Nezha expresses remorse. Following Lu Chuan’s advice, he seeks Taiyi Zhenren for rebirth and spends the following years cultivating on Qianyuan Mountain 112 284.

Fighting for Xiqi

Taiyi Zhenren sends the reborn Nezha to save the people of Xiqi. He withstands Zhang Guifang’s secret technique, fights him evenly, and wounds Feng Lin with the Golden Brick. He then formally presents himself to Jiang Ziya as a disciple sent to assist him 284 286.

Nezha retrieves the Universe Ring from Lu Chuan, explaining afterward that they have no personal grievance. He begins teaching Wuji and joins the gathering of Exposition Sect disciples. His competition with Huang Tianhua expands into a contest involving Yang Jian and his own elder brothers, Jin Zha and Mu Zha, whom he meets for the first time at Xiqi 287 288 289 297 298.

Throughout the war, Nezha serves as a prominent frontline fighter. He pursues Lu Chuan after the capture of Yang Jian and Jin Zha, guards against ambush during the Peach Blossom Ridge meeting, and fights the Four Sages of Nine Dragon Island 333 339 340 346 348.

He also suffers repeated defeats against superior treasures and opponents. Tu Xingsun binds him with the Immortal Binding Rope, Yuyi Xian destroys his Heaven-Mixing Silk, and Kong Xuan captures him with the Five-Colored Divine Light. After the War and Heavenly Service

Once the conflict is decided, Nezha bids Lu Chuan farewell and plans to accompany Yang Jian to Guanjiang Mouth, eliminating demons and accumulating merit. Lu Chuan returns his Fire-Tipped Spear, Wind Fire Wheels, Universe Ring, and Heaven-Mixing Silk, as well as Li Jing’s pagoda for Nezha to take back to his father 628.

Nezha later serves with the Heavenly Court’s forces and reaches the Taiyi Loose Immortal realm. He fights the South Sea dragons and participates in the campaign against Flower Fruit Mountain. The Demonic Occupation and Mount Buzhou

During the occupation of the Three Realms, a counterfeit Nezha possesses his Fire-Tipped Spear and Wind Fire Wheels. The real Nezha refuses to surrender and fights the impostor’s forces. He subsequently awakens beneath Mount Buzhou without magical power, accompanied by Lu Chuan’s external incarnation, Lu Zhenwu 1022 1023.

Inside the hidden ruins, they encounter Gonggong and learn that escaping requires breaking the Zhenlong Chess Formation. Nezha attempts the puzzle while Lu Zhenwu offers to help recover his power and discusses Xingtian’s release with Gonggong 1024.

Nezha later joins Yang Jian in operations involving the Netherworld and helps protect the gods’ Primordial Spirits recovered from a Black Lotus. He also recounts that Ayinava died at Black Robe’s hands while rescuing him from the Asura Realm 1037 1056.
