Apocalypse's strength was, of course, far inferior to what it had been at its peak.
The Superman Alliance's forceful invasion had dealt Apocalypse a devastating blow. Even with endless Parademons stationed across Apocalypse, even with its brutal and savage inhabitants, they were as lowly as ants when facing the Superman Alliance.
Some of the gods present had already begun quietly spreading news of that great battle.
"Apocalypse was actually ambushed not long ago? Tsk, tsk, tsk. They really covered that up tightly," some gods said with glee at its misfortune.
Darkseid's true body had not even been on Apocalypse at the time! He had ventured into the multiverse to contend with the Anti-Monitor for the Anti-Life Equation.
Golden Superman had keenly seized that unprecedented window of vulnerability. He had simply led numerous powerful Supermen who shared his power in a brazen assault on Apocalypse, slaughtering countless Parademons and sinful residents while destroying vast numbers of ancient structures that had stood for ages.
It had truly been miserable.
So miserable that even Steppenwolf's true body had been killed by the Supermen. It had been utterly catastrophic.
Yet that was not Apocalypse's most serious loss.
"Darkseid is weaker than he was at his peak."
Donnie and Vishanti watched the tyrant standing upon Apocalypse from afar. Donnie spoke directly, his voice calm.
Darkseid's true body had died in the multiverse. Even though he had been reborn through the Son of Zasha, that still could not make up for the loss of his primary godhead.
Vishanti cast Donnie a calm glance. "Isn't this exactly what you hoped for?"
"You can't put it that way. I never deliberately told him what to do, and he wouldn't have listened anyway. This outcome only means that he overestimated his own strength and underestimated the Anti-Life Equation's power."
