Leaving the Blood Cloud Sub-dimension

Thousands of hundred-meter-tall blue-violet energy pillars surged into the sky. Their blinding light made everyone squint as a vast energy tide rapidly spread in every direction, then converged.

Every Orc caught in the terrifying energy tide, no matter how strong, visibly disintegrated into elementary particles in an instant.

Even the Orcs farther away were torn apart by the rapidly spreading infrasound. After a brief lull, an even more immense explosion thundered through the air!

A third of the Orc army was annihilated in this missile strike. The energy missiles were so devastating that they left a layer of crystal across the ground!

Faced with a strike capable of laying waste to the world, not only the Orcs, who had been attacking furiously, but even the humans of the Autses Continent were left stunned.

"Damn it! What was that?! Those despicable, cowardly Demons gave us false information!"

Even the Orcs realized something was wrong. How could humans possibly have such a powerful weapon? There had to be another mighty race joining the battle.

The Werewolf Chieftain let out a long howl. "All Orc forces, retreat at once! Retreat!"

Even the Orc army, driven into a frenzy by the Shaman's rites, fell into chaos. Their savage faces filled with terror as they surged backward in a panicked rout.

Large numbers of Orcs were trampled to death.

Feng Xiao, standing at the bow, watched the Orcs charge toward them, only to flee in panic. He couldn't help feeling bored.

He'd thought the Orcs from Western legends would be brave. So that was all they had?

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Several Star Fighters streaked past Feng Xiao and dove toward the retreating Orc army. Hundreds more followed close behind.

Watching the squadrons of thousands of fighters fly off, Feng Xiao felt even more bored. Against Star Fighters designed specifically by the Alliance to sweep away ground forces, the outcome for a bunch of foreign races with slightly stronger bodies was obvious. There wouldn't be any surprises...

The fighters deliberately kept their speed just below the speed of sound. Their sleek silhouettes flashed past the Orc army, dropped countless points of light, then sped straight toward the enemy air force.

The countless points of light joined together. Tens of thousands of volts surged through the army in a violent current, dense arcs of electricity coursing everywhere.

In an instant, the entire Orc army was wiped out!

This wasn't ordinary lightning, but a highly unusual form of bioelectricity. Any extraordinary life-form below level 60 would have its nerve impulses disrupted, resulting in neural death.

The Star Fighters grew even more ferocious as they charged into the Orc air force. Their onboard shields clung close to their fuselages as they accelerated to Mach 5, weaving through the enemy ranks with incredible agility.

That was right—they used their airframes and sheer speed to physically attack the Orc air force, while continuously firing particle cannons and pulse cannons.

No matter how the Orcs tried to dodge and fight back, it was useless. Flesh rained down like a torrential downpour.

Everyone was stunned. Even the Orc brutes across from them were dumbfounded, and then came unending terror.

The Lion-man Chieftain's face darkened. "Such powerful alchemical constructs... Could those cowards from the Goblin Race have joined the battle?"

"From the looks of it, at least all the Goblin Race's alchemical masters are here. We can't rule out hidden human alchemical masters, either. The army we brought can't stand against them!"

The Werewolf Chieftain began to consider their options. Giving up the war was impossible; the armies of other mighty races would continue gathering.

Even with more than twenty alchemical masters, the humans couldn't outmatch three mighty races working together.

"Withdraw our troops for now. We'll wait for the Demon army to arrive before planning our next move. This isn't something we can solve by charging in recklessly." After discussing it with several Fox-man Strategists, the Werewolf Chieftain made his decision.

"Agreed."

Watching the Orcs withdraw, Feng Xiao rubbed his forehead helplessly. "I thought this mission would be interesting. Turns out I was wrong. How could a one-sided war fought with overwhelming technological superiority possibly be fun?"

Wang Hao had expected it. "I knew something like this would happen. It reminds me of the poor Indigenous Americans..."

The top student, Ilde, looked up in confusion, bewilderment written all over his face.

"That's a story from back home... A 'glorious victory' where people with technological weapons oppressed a primitive population."

Wang Hao grinned.

"Glorious? Isn't that just shameless?"

Ilde still didn't understand. Feng Xiao could only step in and change the subject. "All right, once the military base is built, we'll leave. An hour at most."

He looked at the enormous floating technological fortress rapidly taking shape in the distance, then down at the natives' "fortified city," which was less than half the size of the military fortress.

He shook his head helplessly.

An explorer needed excitement and the unknown most of all. It was clear the Autses Continent couldn't offer either right now.

"Space really is more interesting."

Time passed. The military fortress above the Eastern Front was now complete, and ten missile bases and a mechanical weapons factory had been added along the front.

The Eastern Front's defenses had now been fully secured.

After spending three days collecting Life Crystals, the Star Origin swiftly departed with the full set of military-grade mining equipment they had purchased.

Elsa had also woken up. After sitting dazed for two hours, she had finally managed to accept the reality of the universe, then immediately become fascinated with the Tianyi Medical Chamber.

Though it was a medical chamber, all the equipment inside was more than capable of supporting intensive scientific research.

This left Wang Hao deeply disappointed.

"Why is it that when I finally meet a beauty, she turns out to be a science fanatic?"

As the K180 supercontinent gradually receded, Feng Xiao lowered his head to look at the several photographs of the supercontinent from afar and the Star Origin's selfies. He studied them for a moment, then happily slipped them into his Explorer's Diary.

Ilde came over, still puzzled. "Captain, don't you think the military has been treating us... or more accurately, you, far too well?

"They could have assigned any starship, even a regular battleship, to these missions. Why did they specifically choose us?

"And why is the reward so generous?"

Feng Xiao remained calm. In truth, he had been suspicious at first, but he had quickly ruled out every conspiracy theory.

That left only one possibility: the military was deliberately giving him special treatment for some reason. Aside from his mysterious father, no one in his circle had the connections to influence the Alliance Military.

Feng Xiao was almost certain his father had something to do with the military's attitude toward him.

Just like the Star-Land Class starship that had inexplicably spoken to him before they entered the sub-dimension—it definitely knew his father.

From the way it had spoken, his father was probably someone it deeply respected. Otherwise, there would have been no reason to call him brother.

How had he gotten the Mystic Azure Armor, the Fierce Star Main Cannon, and the Titanium armor?

Why did everything feel so complicated...

"I have a rough idea why, but it has nothing to do with us. After we finish this mission, we'll go to Red Mountain City, get the purple main cannon, and continue exploring.

"The rest has nothing to do with us." Feng Xiao shook his head and drifted toward the captain's cabin.

"Understood."

The Star Origin no longer cared about the reward for this rescue mission, but this was the first time it had ever taken part in such a massive war.

That alone was enough to fill the Explorer's Diary.

The Star Origin sailed unhurriedly toward the light curtain that had been converted into a star gate through technology, mining large quantities of rare metal along the way.

But just as they were about to reach the star gate and leave the sub-dimension, perhaps due to the basic law of protagonists, something unexpected happened after all.
