Background

Ilde was recruited from the Qiansen Star Lake recruitment market at age eighteen. Although his publicly registered ability was merely ultra-long-range vision, Feng Xiao's Heart of Dawn identified his latent Legendary-potential ability, Artillery Grandmaster, and recommended him for the core weapon-control position. 12

His parents died when he was young, and he has a twin sister who remains in school and lacks money. Feng Xiao offered him a monthly salary of 2,000 Alliance Coins, advanced his first payment, and promised to consider employing his sister if Ilde's performance met expectations. Ilde immediately accepted and resolved to work hard aboard the Star Origin. 12

Soon after joining, Ilde was entrusted with the Star Origin's entire attack system rather than routine crew duties. Though initially shocked by the responsibility, he accepted it after regaining his composure. 13
