Feng Xiao is a transmigrator from the 21st century who was born on Telan Planet during the Fourth Star Era. His father, Feng Xue'an, is a stationed starship captain; his mother was also reportedly a powerful captain, but disappeared shortly after Feng Xiao's birth. As the child of two captains, Feng Xiao estimates his chance of awakening a captain talent at roughly eighty percent. 1

Before his awakening, the Heart of Dawn had accompanied him since birth. The mysterious interface initially displayed detection, lock-on, and analysis functions, and later interfered with the normally random captain-talent awakening process. 1

After passing the awakening, Feng Xiao uses the Heart of Dawn to select Immortal Ship, choosing personal survival and exploration over the more warfare-oriented talents available to him.
