He had broken through to his current strength.
In his wild delight, he had actually been careless enough not to observe his surroundings.
He was secretly annoyed at his own carelessness.
Then he thought that he did not have much experience anyway, and could slowly learn in the future, so his emotions settled down.
"Uh, Renar, you still haven't taken this planet?"
After a few seconds of silence, Sack spoke in a hoarse voice.
An awkward atmosphere filled the air.
The reason his kidney had been cut out was because of Renar.
Even though she had not known, there was still a knot in his heart.
It was not aimed at Renar, but at himself.
He had always been clear about Renar's feelings. The original owner had merely thought he was unworthy of Renar, and had deliberately played dumb and acted oblivious to romance.
Now, he also had to consider whether his kidney could still be used.
If it could be used, he naturally would not mind.
After all, this was someone he had raised himself. How could he let benefits flow into an outsider's field?
If it could not be used, then what was the meaning of such an ambiguous atmosphere?
After the girl's excitement passed, her expression returned to calm, and her gaze also turned sharp and dangerous.
"You're not dead?"
Sack raised his hands and looked them over, then shrugged.
"Obviously."
Renar had not expected Sack to be so calm, and her face flushed red with anger.
"Then why weren't you with the main force? Where's your spaceship? What have you been doing for the past half month?"
She fired off questions in rapid succession, then added another one.
"Were you seriously injured?"
Renar looked at Sack expectantly, hoping it was as she imagined.
Sack had saved her many times, and his imposing figure had long since been branded into her heart.
She did not believe Sack was the kind of person who would flee before battle.
Besides, this was just a savage planet. What was there to run from?
Holding to the idea that if he was alive, she had to see him, and if he was dead, she had to see his corpse, Renar had disagreed with her teammates and chosen to stay behind.
Now that Sack was before her, Renar's heart was filled with mixed feelings.
She did not know what she was feeling.
Sack looked at Renar and only felt a terrible headache coming on.
Obviously, the girl's last sentence was the main point.
Saiyans could not tolerate cowards.
Take Nos, for example. If he died, then he died. No one would think much of it.
But if he dared to run, Nos would not even be able to board the spaceship. The captain would directly make a move to suppress and kill him.
He pointed at the detector Renar wore on her left ear.
"Uh, did you turn that on?"
Sack had no choice either.
He was already here.
He had already been exposed.
It was completely too late to make a move now.
Moreover, facing Renar, it was impossible for him to attack and kill her the way he had faced Nos.
Ever since Renar had started going on missions, she had always followed behind him, until she surpassed her and became the second strongest in the squad.
This was basically the same as a child he had slowly raised himself. She was part of a cultivation series.
If Son Gohan could reform the utterly wicked Piccolo, and Krillin could make Android 18 head over heels for him, then how could Sack, with the consciousness of an Earthling, possibly have the heart to strike her down?
Renar froze, then reached up and touched the detector.
Her tone softened.
"No. What does that have to do with you answering my question?"
Sack let out a breath of relief.
The bad outcome had not happened. The scouter had not been turned on, so the chances of Frieza knowing were slim.
If Renar had not leaked any information, he had even less trouble to worry about.
His tone relaxed quite a bit.
"If you take off the scouter, I'll tell you why."
Renar rolled her eyes and gave a coquettish snort.
"Oh? You're negotiating with me now? Can you even beat me?"
Sack laughed despite himself.
With Renar's current strength, he could take on three of her.
The kind that started at three hours.
The kind where she would cry out in pain, pant heavily, and sweat like rain.
Renar talked big, but her hand was very decisive. She took it off and tossed it lightly.
The scouter traced an arc through the air and landed among the rocks three hundred meters away from her.
Sack still was not reassured. Light flashed in his hand.
A light-beam technique fired, piercing through the air and striking the scouter that had just hit the ground with perfect accuracy.
Boom!
With an explosion, the scouter turned to ash, leaving behind a pit of neither great nor small size.
Renar's beautiful eyes flashed. She said nothing.
Sack nodded in satisfaction, then began explaining with nine truths and one lie.
When he finished, he stared at Renar with a serious, solemn expression.
"You understand?"
Renar shook her head in confusion.
It was true that Saiyans had strong combat power, but it was also universally acknowledged that they had no brains.
Though Renar was a little better, she was not necessarily all that smart either.
"Isn't the Super Saiyan just a legend?
"And why were you able to wake up early?
"And why would King Frieza wipe out all of us Saiyans? Aren't we his subordinates?"
Renar did not understand and once again transformed into a curious baby.
A crow seemed to fly across Sack's forehead.
He sighed.
"Forget it. Lead the way. Let's go to where your spaceship is first and deal with that hidden danger."
Renar was completely baffled, but in the end, she still chose to believe Sack and turned to fly off.
Sack hurriedly followed.
He began explaining in detail.
The two of them had a very tacit understanding.
At this point, Renar understood even more clearly that regardless of whether Frieza made a move against the Saiyans, she could not possibly go back for the time being.
She could only choose one path and follow Sack down it to the end.
Sack let out an even longer breath of relief.
This was the most perfect situation now.
Otherwise, he would have needed to control Renar for several years.
Even so, Sack still focused his attention and kept his body taut.
He was guarding against Renar switching sides before they reached the spaceship.
You could know a person's face but not their heart. It was only reasonable for him to be on guard.
Instead, the ones who followed carelessly and chose to believe everything were the ones who really needed watching.
This was work that put their heads on the line.
If they were exposed before they had enough strength, both of them would die.
"So you think Frieza will destroy Planet Vegeta?"
"That's right. And I'm one hundred percent certain."
"Then what do we do after we destroy the spaceship?"
Sack shook his head gravely.
"No. The spaceship has detectors. It might be able to send Frieza a message too. We can't show ourselves."
Renar's figure paused, then she kept flying.
"Then what do we do? Even if we use beam techniques, they'll still detect us.
And after we destroy the detectors? If Frieza or our people send someone over, we still won't be able to escape."
Sack smiled mysteriously.
"Don't worry. A man of the mountains has his own clever plan. Even without showing myself, I have a way to deal with the spaceship."
Renar said nothing. She still believed in Sack without the slightest hesitation.
After a long while, Renar still couldn't help herself.
"Aren't we going back to warn them?"
Sack flew past Renar and looked straight into her beautiful eyes. Seeing her red-rimmed eyes, his heart softened.
His expression gentled, and his tone softened a great deal too.
"Renar, it's not that I don't want to go back and save them. It's that I can't.
Besides, you're the only one who believes my one-sided story. As for the others, who would?"
Sack knew it well.
King Vegeta believed it.
No, King Vegeta was resisting Frieza because of the ambition in his heart.
He and Sack were not on the same path.
Saiyans had always been arrogant. From top to bottom, there was no way they would believe Sack's words.
Frieza killing them?
What kind of interstellar joke was that?
Without the Saiyans, how could Frieza's plan to plunder the entire universe possibly work?
Unless Sack used overwhelming strength to sweep across all of Planet Vegeta and become the new king of the Saiyans.
Then ordered the Saiyans to start fleeing for their lives.
Otherwise, there was absolutely no way to make the other Saiyans obey.
Renar also thought it through. Her fists clenched tight, her gaze dimmed, and her voice turned bleak.
"Then are we just going to be cowards, scurrying around everywhere like rats?"
Sack ignored Renar and turned to fly into the distance.
"Renar, your thinking is completely wrong."
