Voldemort and Dumbledore were locked in combat midair. Judging solely by their clothing, Dumbledore was clearly in much better condition.

Dumbledore's robes were largely intact, without any obvious tears or damage.

The edges of Voldemort's robes had already been shredded into strips, comparable to the ragged hems of a Dementor's cloak, bearing numerous scorch marks and cuts.

"Dumbledore, don't you care whether those Aurors live or die?" Voldemort narrowed his eyes slightly and sharply flicked his wand, sending several streaks of eerie light flying out.

The eerie lights seemed almost solid, giving off piercing shrieks as they tore through the air. In the blink of an eye, they had arrived before Dumbledore.

Dumbledore pressed his lips together without replying. With a turn of his wrist, he conjured a shield. As it blocked the eerie lights, he thrust out his wand in a movement so swift that it was nothing like what one would expect from a centenarian.

Invisible magical ripples surged toward Voldemort. Voldemort raised both hands and made a grasping motion, extinguishing the invisible magical ripples before neatly flicking out another streak of eerie light.

Although the eerie light let out an even louder howl through the air, it did not drown out Voldemort's taunting voice. "It seems Dumbledore has changed. You don't care whether they live or die anymore..."

"So you're just like me!" Gray smoke churned around him as he shifted to Dumbledore's side like a phantom. "Avada Kedavra!"

The water beneath Dumbledore's feet began to surge, carrying him clear of the eerie light. A suit of frost-forged armor leaped from the water and blocked the Killing Curse Voldemort had fired.

Whoosh!

Still without responding, Dumbledore waved his wand. A gale took shape abruptly. Though invisible, it bore down on Voldemort like a raging tidal wave.
