Calchas continued counting the floor tiles through the Eye of Heaven, bored out of his mind.
Just as his attention began to wander, a figure appeared within the Eye of Heaven.
Once he saw the figure clearly, he blurted out, "He finished the exam that quickly?"
To pass the time, he had been observing for quite a while and had developed a fairly vague sense of how long students generally took to finish their exams.
When Wizet appeared, he failed to process it at first, which was why he cried out instinctively.
His surprise vanished in an instant. After all, he knew something of Wizet's magical ability. He understood that the O.W.L. examinations, so crucial to most students, would certainly be nothing to Wizet.
He could even say with certainty that the most time Wizet had wasted during the entire O.W.L. examination was probably the walk there.
Hearing Calchas's startled cry, Voldemort and Herpo reacted even faster.
Herpo could not even conceal his emotions. He shot to his feet and hurried to Calchas's side. "Calchas, has that Guardian come out?"
By the time Calchas spoke again, Voldemort had already straightened in his seat, unable to maintain his previous lazy posture.
Only after realizing that Herpo's attention was entirely off him did he immediately relax again, putting on that indolent air and waiting for Herpo to continue questioning Calchas.
"Yes!" Calchas nodded. "He's already out..."
He began reporting what he saw through the Eye of Heaven. "That servant has gone over... and called the Guardian by name."
Herpo took a deep breath and narrowed his eyes slightly, his expression turning focused.
"Hm?" Calchas grunted, his tone becoming strange.
"What is it?" Herpo asked at once. "Could that Guardian be suspicious?"
"Uh..." Calchas's expression turned subtle as well. "I... don't think so?"
