Standing before Wizet and Snape was a tall, thin, middle-aged Ministry of Magic employee.
The Ministry employee looked rather unremarkable, much like any other middle-aged Ministry employee. Perhaps because he was no longer young, his energy seemed lacking, and a trace of weariness naturally showed between his brows.
"You must be Mr. Lovegood, right?" the Ministry employee drawled. His voice was somewhat soft, and his flat tone carried the same hint of fatigue.
"That's me." Wizet nodded. "Sir, may I ask what this is about?"
"I'm Gilbert Wimple from the Experimental Charms Committee," the Ministry employee introduced himself.
"The fact that I'm seeing you here means your O.W.L. examinations are over, correct?"
Wizet nodded. "Yes, Mr. Wimple."
The Ministry employee continued, "We've actually been meaning to find you to discuss the Disarming Charm. But we knew you needed to prepare for your O.W.L. examinations, so we didn't disturb you."
"Now that the examinations are over, do you have time to come with me? We've run into some difficulties while analyzing the spell, and we hope you can help us solve them. We would be extremely grateful!"
"Of course!" Wizet nodded in agreement. "But before that, I have something else to—"
"It's fine!" Snape cut in. "Go with Mr. Wimple first! We can discuss my matter later."
"Alright, then!" Wizet nodded. "Mr. Wimple, please lead the way!"
"Good!" The Ministry employee smiled and slowly turned around. "Then—"
The next instant, red light flooded the stairwell.
Wizet had already raised his wand and silently cast a Stunning Spell ahead of him.
Before the Ministry employee could finish speaking, he toppled stiffly forward.
