Voldemort still sat in the headmaster's seat, staring at the world map floating in the center of the office.

He seemed somewhat distracted, as though he were pondering something. He idly toyed with the wand in his hand, devoting only a small fraction of his attention to studying the world map.

Unlike Voldemort's distraction, Herpo was clearly far more anxious.

He focused most of his attention on the world map, pacing back and forth through the Headmaster's Office with an agitated expression.

When Calchas returned to the Headmaster's Office, he nearly collided head-on with Herpo.

He was not particularly surprised to see Herpo's anxious expression.

Just as Calchas sat down, Herpo abruptly stopped in his tracks, as though he had sensed something.

"So it's just as I thought!" Herpo raised his brows, his expression turning exceedingly grim. "Those damned Muggles! The confirmation from the other side actually made them hesitate!"

"They're utterly idiotic! They've wasted so much of my time!" he cursed repeatedly. "Those damned Muggles! Damn it! Damn it!"
