The students stood there dumbfounded. They truly had not expected Wizet to have such deep ties... to the founders of Hogwarts.
Now they understood why Wizet had become a Hatstall.
They even felt that the four founders merely facing off without actually beginning a duel was already a relatively dignified gesture, made out of consideration for Wizet.
Voldemort was equally dumbfounded. He had never expected Salazar Slytherin's assessment of the maker of his Horcruxes... to be "too stupid to even compare to a rat."
He had once taken pride in possessing Salazar Slytherin's bloodline, only to receive such an evaluation from Salazar Slytherin himself.
The word "rat" stung him deeply, making him think of that short-lived servant, Peter Pettigrew.
He remembered that Peter Pettigrew's specialty was transforming into a rat through Animagus magic.
At that moment, he desperately wanted to retort, to express his fury, to roar at Salazar Slytherin...
Unfortunately, the only thing he could do was rack his brains for a way to break through My Lord's magical restraints.
Salazar Slytherin continued discussing Horcruxes. "The magical principles behind Horcruxes involve life and death. That is why I researched them."
"Could that... be why you bought the Irish Phoenix?" Godric Gryffindor seemed to recall something. "I thought that after merging with the Basilisk's bloodline, you had become increasingly obsessed with chicken."
"I remember something like that too..." Helga Hufflepuff seemed to realize something as well. "The House-elves back then..."
Salazar Slytherin raised an eyebrow. "Enough! Do you realize what time this is?"
"Oh?" Rowena Ravenclaw snorted. "You only remembered that now? I thought you were about to explain how to make Horcruxes."
Faced with the current state of the four founders, Wizet felt somewhat troubled as well.
He spoke up. "Headmistress Ravenclaw, Headmistress Hufflepuff, Headmaster Slytherin, Headmaster Gryffindor..."
