Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1The Heavenly Dao of This World Was Such a Coward

Qing Mo traveled to Haoyun Continent, where his overwhelming power frightened the Heavenly Dao into becoming his guide. He negotiated with the System over collecting world origins and, after making a deal, decided to look for a mount.

  • Qing Mo entered the remote mountains near Liang City, accidentally nearly destroying the area with his laws and Dao rhythms, then restored it.
  • The Heavenly Dao manifested as an old man, fainted when Qing Mo approached, and later knelt and begged for mercy when Qing Mo confronted it again.
  • The Heavenly Dao told Qing Mo about Haoyun Continent and its regions and cultivation realms, then accompanied him as he traveled and improved its laws.
  • Qing Mo asked the System about its abilities, learned it could alter physiques and talents, and agreed to collect world origins in exchange for a one-percent shop discount.
  • Qing Mo thought of the mounts used by powerful figures in Journey to the West and decided to find one for himself.

Ch. 2What Happened? Where Is My Host?

Qing Mo was taken to the cultivation world by the Master of Myriad Daos, who trained him to surpass his own peak strength and sent him to collect treasures that could break a curse. After Qing Mo left, a weakened system finally entered his body and revealed that it had originally chosen him but had been intercepted.

  • Qing Mo woke in the Master of Myriad Daos's courtyard and learned that the old man needed him to find treasures to resolve a curse tied to fate and karma.
  • The Master of Myriad Daos passed his cultivation, techniques, and insights to Qing Mo over several years, making him stronger than the Master's former peak.
  • The Master of Myriad Daos gave Qing Mo a Jade Pendant marking the treasure locations and a token that opened his small world, then sent him out.
  • A speck of light entered Qing Mo's body, and the system explained that it had struggled for years to reach him and was now weakened.
  • Qing Mo discovered that he was already immensely powerful, and the system realized the Master of Myriad Daos had intercepted it when it selected and transported him.

Ch. 3Understanding a Transmigrator's Troubles

Qing Mo traveled to Liang City with the White Tiger King, whom he named Da Bai, and discovered the vast wealth inside the old master's small world. At an inn, he was accused of stealing Supreme Spirit Stones by Li Zhuntian and Tang Tianyun, so Qing Mo pinned them and the Tianlan Sect disciples to their knees with an invisible force.

  • Qing Mo dragged the White Tiger King from the Eastern Wasteland and made it his mount, naming it Da Bai and giving it a five-million-year-old Colored Scale Fruit.
  • Qing Mo explored the small world in the token and found it filled with immense stores of treasures, then gave Da Bai a fruit that it nearly fainted from receiving.
  • Qing Mo and Da Bai reached Liang City, where Qing Mo's Supreme Spirit Stones startled the city guards and attracted the attention of Li Zhuntian.
  • At an inn, Li Zhuntian secretly alerted Tang Tianyun after seeing Qing Mo spend Supreme Spirit Stones, but Qing Mo left when the innkeeper refused to take them.

Ch. 4The Empress Reincarnated

Qing Mo transported the Sword Pavilion and Tianlan Sect to Liang City after the Li Family patriarch threatened him, then spared them while the Li Family was destroyed and two elders were crippled. Seeking Star-Falling Stone and Crane Red Fruit, he visited the Listening Rain Pavilion, where he learned its proprietor was a reincarnated Empress and went upstairs to meet her.

  • Li Wuxiong threatened Qing Mo by invoking his eldest son's ties to the Sacred Land Sword Pavilion, so Qing Mo summoned the entire Sword Pavilion and Tianlan Sect to Liang City and showed them what had happened.
  • Qing Mo reviewed their memories, sensed the location of the item his old master needed, and ordered the sects to handle the Li Family matter properly in exchange for sparing them.
  • The Li Family in Liang City was exterminated, while the Sword Pavilion and Tianlan Sect elders involved had their cultivations crippled, and news of Qing Mo's feat spread across the Southern Border.
  • Qing Mo visited the Listening Rain Pavilion, sold two ancient grade-eight herbs, and asked its shopkeeper for Star-Falling Stone and Crane Red Fruit.
  • The shopkeeper said the proprietor had Star-Falling Stone and that Crane Red Fruit would be auctioned in Purple Frost City; Qing Mo recognized the proprietor as a reincarnated Empress and went upstairs to meet her.

Ch. 5This Was the Joy of Being Rich

Qing Mo exposed Liu Yurou as the reborn Empress Hanyu and used the System’s treasures to restore half her former strength, recruiting her as his maid. He and Liu Yurou headed for Purple Frost City while Qing Mo browsed the System Mall.

  • Qing Mo rejected Liu Yurou’s offer of money and an honorary elder position, demanding her Purple Vein Bamboo and revealing her identity as Empress Hanyu.

  • The auction’s final item, the Enlightenment Pill, was presented.

Ch. 7Two Hundred Million Supreme Spirit Stones to Feed a Cat

Liu Yurou won the Enlightenment Pill at the auction with Qing Mo’s vast reserves of spirit stones and fed it to Da Bai. • Liu Yurou bid two hundred million supreme-grade spirit stones for the Enlightenment Pill, and Qiu Yue verified that she could pay.
  • Liu Yurou won the auction and fed the pill to Da Bai while concealing its aura; the First Prince sensed that they were dangerous and warned the Purple Frost City Lord not to interfere.
  • Patriarch Lin and the Great Elder of Mingyang Sect waited outside the auction house, then followed Qing Mo and Liu Yurou out of the city with other pursuers.
  • Qing Mo slipped into a spatial interlayer, leaving Liu Yurou to face the attackers; she concealed her true strength, and Patriarch Lin became alarmed when she easily countered his attacks.

Ch. 8Sky Vault Realm

  • Qing Mo had Liu Yurou feign defeat so Patriarch Lin and the Great Elder would pursue her with the crowd seeking her treasures.
  • The First Prince and the Duan Nian Palace Saintess of the Western Sea suspected Liu Yurou had been holding back as the pursuers gathered around her.
  • Qing Mo emerged beside Liu Yurou and summoned Da Bai, who revealed himself as the White Tiger King while Liu Yurou and Da Bai displayed Sky Vault Realm power.

  • Qing Mo rented a courtyard with Liu Yurou and had her try on a purple cheongsam he had designed for her.
  • Qing Mo and Liu Yurou went to the Alchemist Branch Association, where Qing Mo requested medicinal ingredients, an alchemy room, and the branch’s Liyang Wood.
  • Shi Siming insulted Qing Mo and demanded that Liu Yurou spend the night with him in exchange for waiving the alchemy-room fee.
  • Liu Yurou released her Sky Vault Realm aura and tore down the Alchemist Branch Association, drawing the Luotian Dynasty’s ruler and other experts.

Ch. 11Pill Tribulation Is Noisy, but These Old Fools Are Even Noisier

Qing Mo punished Shi Siming and the Alchemist Association made amends by providing the ingredients and Liyang Wood he needed. He traded a valuable pill formula for the wood, then refined several batches of pills as a Pill Tribulation descended, leaving the alchemists ecstatic and noisy.

  • The branch president killed Shi Siming, while the Second Elder and Shi Siming's remaining lackeys had their cultivation crippled and were expelled from the Alchemist Association.

  • Luotian Jun offered to help Qing Mo and waited for him to give an order.
  • Qing Mo refined several batches of pills in the air using flames as cauldrons, completing the process in fewer than five breaths.
  • A Pill Tribulation gathered over the city, and the branch president and other alchemists celebrated noisily as Qing Mo looked on in annoyance.

Ch. 12Da Bai? No, Little White Mouse

Qing Mo refined tribulation-tempered pills, demonstrated his alchemy knowledge, and tested his new formulas on Da Bai. He ordered Luotian Jun to prepare an auction for six powerful pills, drawing the attention of major forces across Haoyun Continent.

  • Qing Mo promised to help Da Bai advance to the Sky Vault Realm and give him an exclusive cultivation technique.
  • Qing Mo gave Luotian Jun nine pills, requested the thickest Demon Vine Tree branch, and ordered him to auction the remaining six pills in half a month.
  • News of the pills spread across Haoyun Continent, and powerful sects and families headed for the Luotian Dynasty.

Ch. 13Red Strings and Glutinous Rice Still Remain Today

Qing Mo traveled to Uncle Nine’s world to help the system absorb its origin and arrived in Ren Family Town as the events surrounding Master Ren’s grave began. He watched Uncle Nine’s karmic trial unfold and decided to wait before intervening, while considering whether to learn feng shui and help him.

Ch. 14It Smiled, He Wet Himself

Ch. 15You and I Were Never Meant to Be; It All Depends on Me Paying More

Qing Mo saved Master Ren from the zombie, paid Uncle Nine to teach him feng shui, and helped prepare for the zombie’s return. Months later, he joined Uncle Nine in investigating strange events tied to the coming clash between Eastern Daoism and Western Vampires, then left after bats were found in the village, anticipating Uncle Nine’s imprisonment.

Ch. 16The Meeting in the Small Woods

Qing Mo arranged for Uncle Nine to encounter the female ghost and the Western zombie, then stepped in to save Uncle Nine from A-Wei’s vampire cousin. The group prepared to lure the bats from the church and confront the Western zombie.

  • Qing Mo took Wencai and Qiusheng to town, then arranged for Uncle Nine to catch Wencai with the female ghost and seal her in a jar.

  • Qing Mo told Wencai and Qiusheng to rescue the nuns without disturbing the bats, then assured Uncle Nine of his good intentions.
  • Qing Mo paid the oldest nun three gold bricks to agree to evacuate the church, and the group prepared to lure out and burn the bats.

Ch. 17Return to the Cultivation World

Qing Mo defeated the vampire, left gifts for Uncle Nine and his companions, then helped Taoist Priest Qianhe prepare to face the Imperial Zombie before returning to his own world. Back at the courtyard, he reunited with Liu Yurou and began teaching her the Nirvana Law ahead of the auction.

  • Qing Mo and Uncle Nine’s group lured the vampire into sunlight, demolished the church with explosives, and beat the injured vampire to death.

  • Sun Tian awoke in the Northern Star Continent of the Middle Thousand World, heard his master urge him to cultivate and avoid revenge, then set off for a nearby city.
  • Qing Mo told Liu Yurou the remnant soul had little power left and that they would meet Sun Tian again, then rode with her toward Duan Nian Palace while thinking about Han Qianxue.

Ch. 21A Smile

Qing Mo arrived at Duan Nian Palace and asked them to retrieve the Ice Flame Grass that Shen Yunrong had once found. • While Liu Yurou trained Shen Yunrong, Shen Yunrong reported that the battle was progressing slowly, and Qing Mo told her to ask her Dao Protector if she would become his maid.

Ch. 22Snatching Back the Ice Flame Grass

Qing Mo had Shen Yunrong deal with Cloud Pavilion Hall's elders and transformed Liu Yurou's innate spiritual body into a Myriad Sword Divine Body with a Nine Orifice Exquisite Sword Heart. Duan Nian Palace then destroyed Cloud Pavilion Hall, and Shen Yunrong returned the Ice Flame Grass to Qing Mo.

Ch. 24Entering the Secret Realm

Qing Mo traveled to Baishang Secret Realm with Han Qianxue, Autumn Moon, and Da Bai, where he revealed that the rumored breakthrough method involved possession. Ch. 25The Path Ahead Is Open

Qing Mo and his companions cleared out the Baishang Secret Realm’s central cave and defeated its remnant soul before preparing to leave the continent. He gave Duan Nian Palace’s disciples parting gifts and said that the world’s laws were becoming complete, opening a path beyond Dao Integration.

  • Qing Mo ignored the secret realm’s treasures while Han Qianxue collected them, and Da Bai told her that Qing Mo owned five-million-year-old great medicines.
  • Qing Mo collected the cave residence’s treasures but refused to approach its central platform, avoiding the formation meant to trap visitors and help the remnant soul seize a body.
  • The remnant soul lunged at Qing Mo as the group departed, and Liu Yurou struck it apart with a slap.
  • Qing Mo handed the cave’s treasures to the system, then arranged to leave the continent with Liu Yurou after finding a place for Han Qianxue to cultivate.
  • Qing Mo brought the Duan Nian Palace disciples out of the secret realm, and Han Qianxue and Liu Yurou gave the Third Elder treasures and cultivation techniques for their students.
