• Biyao overwhelmed Tian Linger and attacked the group with her bells and nine swords, but Zhang Xiaofan used Great Brahma Prajna to protect his companions and counter her assault.
• Zhang Xiaofan and Biyao were both thrown back, leaving him unable to move and her exhausted; Qing Mo comforted Biyao as the Azure Cloud Sect and Holy Sect forces prepared to fight over the Kui Ox.

The chapter ended with Lin Jingyu trying to attack the Heavenly Sound Temple disciples and Qing Mo challenging Zhang Xiaofan to reconsider righteousness and evil.

Zhang Xiaofan succumbed to the Soul-Devouring Rod’s influence and went berserk, but Qing Mo subdued him and handed him to Ghost King, declaring that his ties now lay with the Ghost King Sect. Qing Mo also revealed future fates and urged several characters to confront old regrets, leaving Cang Song to return to Azure Cloud Sect and meet Wan Jianyi.

• Biyao condemned a Heavenly Sound Temple disciple for excusing Puzhi’s massacre of Grass Temple Village, then sheathed her Nine Swords at Qing Mo’s request and played with Little Tail and Yinzi.
• Zhang Xiaofan’s madness deepened as he attacked a Heavenly Sound Temple disciple, and Azure Cloud Sect members called for him to be killed while Tian Buyi and Lu Xueqi tried to reach him.

After returning to Azure Cloud Sect, Cang Song reunited with the supposedly dead Wan Jianyi and confessed his crimes, then tried to kill himself. Meanwhile, Qing Mo continued training Biyao and prepared to take her and Youji away while the Ghost King Sect readied an attack on the righteous factions.

• Cang Song brought Lin Jingyu to the rear mountain, where they found Wan Jianyi alive and sweeping outside the Ancestral Hall.
• Shuiyue learned that Wan Jianyi was alive and heard Qing Mo's advice that she should confess her feelings to him.
• Lin Jingyu relayed Qing Mo's reassurance to Wan Jianyi, who agreed to let him visit and talk with him often.
• Cang Song confessed that he had joined the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect, killed innocents to refine the Poison Blood Sail, and planned to help destroy Azure Cloud Sect before Qing Mo revealed Wan Jianyi's survival.

The righteous factions and the Ghost King Sect prepared for war, then clashed at Azure Cloud Sect, where Zhang Xiaofan fought his former allies and Dao Xuan received the Immortal Execution Sword. Qing Mo arrived to watch and revealed that the sword was the Fifth Volume of the Heavenly Book and had caused Dao Xuan to fall into demonhood in the original future.

• Tian Buyi shared the genuine first volume of the Heavenly Book and Qing Mo’s lifespan-enhancing cultivation method, strengthening the righteous factions as well as the demonic ones.
• Wanren Wang led the Holy Sect forces in an assault on Azure Cloud Sect, and Dao Xuan and the righteous fighters met them in battle.
• Tian Buyi, Lu Xueqi, and the Great Bamboo Peak disciples encountered Zhang Xiaofan, who refused to return to Azure Cloud and attacked Faxiang over the deaths at Grass Temple Village.

Qing Mo revealed that the Immortal-Slaying Ancient Sword was the fifth volume of the Heavenly Book and explained how its baleful aura would have led Dao Xuan to demonic corruption and the deaths of Tian Buyi and Su Ru. After Qing Mo demonstrated the sword’s danger, Biyao took a liking to the Water Qilin, and Qing Mo offered it Ancestral Qilin essence blood to become her pet.

• Qing Mo revealed that the Immortal-Slaying Ancient Sword had caused Tian Chengzi’s demonic corruption and explained how Dao Xuan had secretly saved Wan Jianyi.
• Qing Mo explained that the sword’s baleful aura had been suppressed by the world’s will, then briefly lifted that suppression so Dao Xuan could sense its power.

• Qing Mo gave the Water Qilin Ancestral Qilin essence blood, and it endured a lightning tribulation that transformed it and let it speak.
