• Yu Xiaogang woke as an old man and his two sons explained that they had found him among bodies and wreckage and had reported the incident.
• Yu Xiaogang overheard the sons complain about the danger of bringing him home and insult his appearance, and he silently scorned them.
• Yu Xiaogang realized the family had notified someone and tried to ask whether anyone else had survived, but his injured throat made speaking painful.
• Yu Xiaogang told the older boy that he was the Grandmaster and that Spirit Hall had ambushed members of the Star Luo Imperial Family.

He found Yu Xiaogang outside Shrek Academy in Star Luo City and offered to take him somewhere private, leaving Yu Xiaogang unaware of Tang San's intent.

• The God of Love revealed that Tang San's Fourth Trial was to kill Yu Xiaogang, who was still alive, and Tang San decided to pursue the trial.
• Tang San reasoned that Yu Xiaogang might have been rescued near the Star Luo Empire border and traveled to Star Luo City to look for him.
