[You have been locked onto by Gilman Elliott's killing intent. Evaluation: As long as you aren't blind, I'm sure you can see it. Reward: Survival Points +2]
"..."
How could he not see it, with a cannon barrel that thick pressed to his head?
Wei En smiled bitterly. "Boss Gilman, I only wanted to buy some materials to make a Mechanical Puppet..."
"I said, you aren't welcome here," Gilman interrupted. "Please leave."
Marco looked at her and slowly said, "Gilman, I think you've already forgotten who saved you back then, and who helped you get settled in Kaster..."
Bang.
A gunshot rang out. Beneath the skull chandelier, a musket spat a tongue of flame and struck the ground in front of the two of them.
Gilman folded her arms. "Matters between wizards have nothing to do with anyone else."
"Wizard?"
Marco said mockingly, "You're nothing but a high-level apprentice who failed to advance. Don't tell me you really think you can keep me here with these toys?"
A high-level wizard apprentice?
Wei En swept his eyes over the mechanical weapons around them. The firepower in this shop was almost enough to match a reinforced platoon.
Gilman remained unmoved and said coldly, "You can try!"
Marco's gaze darkened. "You really are..."
Wei En tugged at him and shook his head. "Forget it, Brother Marco. Since Boss Gilman doesn't agree, let's look somewhere else."
"You're sure?"
"Mm."
Seeing him nod, Marco turned and walked outside without another word, the red ponytail at the back of his head swaying back and forth with a steady rhythm.
Wei En glanced at Gilman again, then followed him out of the shop.
Only, what he did not know was—
Not long after they walked out, every mechanical weapon in the shop slid down, one after another.
