Background / History

Claire slept for an unknown period and awakened on the Western Continent during the middle of the Fourth Epoch with no memory of her past. While searching for those memories, she learned that she had once been a bishop of the vanished Night Church and resolved to restore it on the Western Continent. She later became known as the Queen of the Night Empire. 432

For much of the early story, Claire operates as Thousand-Face, an Eternal Life Society Transcendent who acts through disposable puppet bodies. She also maintains the public cover of a Church of Dawn Saintess Candidate while investigating events in Kaster City-State. 101 115

An Era Relic in Claire's possession becomes central to recovering her sealed memories. Although she initially treats it as a potentially valuable historical treasure, she eventually realizes that its contents are tied to her own seals and identity. 108 210

The translated relic reveals that Claire is an incarnation of Lilith, the Lady of the Night. She initially struggles to accept this revelation, but later recalls enough of her past to openly identify herself as the Night Church's leader and Lilith's successor. 235 428
