Lily's POV:
Last week, Lara suddenly came to find me and said a whole bunch of confusing things.
In the end, I only understood some of it.
"So, Lily, did you understand?"
"Uh-huh."
"You didn't understand at all, did you?"
"...Could you say it again, Lara?"
"You..."
Lara walked into the laboratory and patted my head.
"Lily, what I mean is... look!"
Lara pointed at the Magic Power Storage Device in the laboratory.
Then, Lara took out an anti-magic scroll.
"Lily, what kind of opponent do you think an anti-magic scroll would work against?"
"...Someone like me?"
"Well... Lily doesn't really fight, after all. Watch carefully."
Lara activated the anti-magic formation in front of me, and a magic circle appeared beneath my feet.
After the formation appeared, Lara stepped inside as well.
"This is the best anti-magic formation you can buy on the market, and this is all it can do."
"Oh... Did you ask Uncle Orsted? He should have stronger methods of suppressing magic."
"Uncle Orsted... He doesn't seem to have any anti-magic methods, does he? He either disperses incompletely formed spells directly or absorbs spells that have already been cast."
"Oh, so... what are you getting at, Lara?"
"Lily, try casting magic."
I held out my hand and began chanting.
"Holy power is rich nourishment. Grant those who have lost their strength the power to stand once more—Healing..."
As expected, nothing happened. I couldn't cast it.
"Lily, pour in most of your mana and try again."
"Holy power is rich nourishment. Grant those who have lost their strength the power to stand once more—Healing!"
I still couldn't cast it.
Lara smiled and said,
"Lily~ You should have practiced more when you were little~ Even with dragon blood, your mana reserves are still..."
"I'm not going to fight anyway."
