Eris and Sylphy clapped softly, keeping the noise low enough that it would not carry outside.
Soundproofing had been taken into account when the house was renovated, so the room blocked out sound quite well. Even so, they could still be heard outside if they failed to watch their volume. It was not as though they were discussing anything shameful, but it was better to keep it within this room. That way, they could speak more freely.
"Ahem!"
Roxy cleared her throat twice.
Then she raised a hand. "Now, Miss Sylphy, please explain the topic of this girls' night."
Sylphy immediately spoke up. "Yes. There is only one topic for this girls' night: how we should all get along in our everyday lives."
"Uh, um..."
Eris hesitantly began to speak.
Sylphy turned to look at her. "Miss Eris, please respect the rules of the meeting. If you wish to speak, raise your hand first and wait for the chair's permission."
"Fine, then I have a question." Eris raised her hand.
"Miss Eris, you have the floor," Roxy said.
Eris pressed her lips together. "If we're talking about getting along, shouldn't everyone in the family participate? After all, it won't do much good if only the three of us get along while we leave Rudeus out, will it?"
Roxy and Sylphy exchanged a glance, then both fell silent.
They seemed to be considering how to explain this to Eris.
That annoyed Eris a little. Why are they acting like I'm the only idiot here?
