Background / History

Han Qiao was born with the Three Yin Severed Pulse, a condition that should have prevented her from surviving into adulthood. She nevertheless lived to around thirty and developed formidable martial skill under Chen Liujia's guidance. To suit her constitution, Chen Liujia created the Three Yin Extreme Baleful Art for her. 16 22

She is Yan Ruyu's childhood friend and became Chen Liujia's only true disciple accepted after his arrival in Shen City. By the time of the story, she is both a Force-realm martial artist and the powerful proprietor of Immortal Music Gate, Shen City's leading cabaret. 6 16 17

Han Qiao is protective, pragmatic, and acutely aware of the dangers surrounding those under her care. When Ru Meng becomes involved with Jiang Wangzu, Han Qiao does not dismiss Ru Meng's feelings, but prioritizes protecting her from the retaliation of powerful admirers. She is willing to separate the couple for years rather than risk Ru Meng's destruction. 6

Initially, she regards Jiang Wangzu with indifference and suspicion, seeing him as a possible means to manage her condition. After learning of his difficult upbringing and witnessing his persistence, she becomes appreciative and protective of him.
