Laying Down Arms and Returning to the Fields

With the Dragon's help, Earth was restored, but they knew the real battle had only just begun.

Goku used Instant Transmission and brought Vegeta back to Vegeta's home. And whenever Vegeta was in front of his family, he always put on that aloof, cold front.

"Vegeta, you're back. Did you miss me?"

Bulma's voice rang in his ears. When Vegeta heard it, the cold look on his face still didn't change, though a faint blush appeared.

"N-no... I didn't. I didn't miss you."

Vegeta was still the same as ever—stubborn, far too stubborn. But then again, if he wasn't stubborn, he wouldn't be Vegeta.

Goku scratched his head and smiled, then placed two fingers against his forehead and used Instant Transmission to return to his own home. Everything there was still so familiar.

"Goku." Chi-Chi's voice drifted slowly into his ears.

Goku turned his head and saw that it was none other than his wife, Chi-Chi.

"Chi-Chi, I..."

Before Goku could finish, Chi-Chi threw herself at him, wrapping her whole body around him. This blockhead Goku finally seemed to start up properly, pulling Chi-Chi into his arms, though he didn't dare use too much strength, afraid he might hurt the Chi-Chi in front of him.

"Dad." Goten looked at Goku without many words, only choking back sobs again and again, as if he wanted to tell him all the grievances he had suffered during the days Goku had been gone.

Goku said nothing. He simply made room and lifted Goten into his arms as well.

"Don't worry. I won't let what happened before play out again. Nothing will happen to you."

Goku spoke coldly, as if he had made some kind of resolve. It was just like when he had fought Jiren in the Tournament of Power. Goku's strength might not have been that overwhelming, but he had the strength of his friends and the strength of his family. That was the strongest support of all.

He hadn't stayed serious for more than two seconds before Goku's stomach started growling loudly. Goku gave a sheepish smile and set Chi-Chi down from his shoulder.

"I'm so hungry, Chi-Chi." Both Goku and Goten turned their eyes toward Chi-Chi.

"All right, I'll go cook right now."

Chi-Chi went to make dinner, while Goku took Goten out to play on Mount Paozu. They arrived at an open area, and then Goten said, "Dad, I want to see how strong you are now. I can feel a power from your aura that I've never felt before."

"Sure. Just like when I showed you Super Saiyan Three back then, I'll show you one by one."

Goten's eyes widened, not daring to miss Goku's spectacular demonstration.

Goku clenched both fists and gradually began to power up. His hair slowly turned yellow, and his eyes became blue. With the blessing of Angel Power and Porunga's power, this Super Saiyan One—how could its strength possibly compare to an ordinary person's Super Saiyan One?

Gradually, Goku transformed into Super Saiyan Two. Blue lightning circled around him, and his body gave off a gentle yet shocking power. His hair also gradually began to gain more layered definition, and his bangs changed from three locks into a single bang, making him look even more intimidating.

"It's coming! It's coming! It's about to be my favorite Super Saiyan Three!"

Goku smiled, then began roaring on the spot. Dark clouds gathered together at the edge of the sky, as if they had received some kind of summons. Goku's hair slowly grew longer, his eyebrows gradually began to disappear, and the lightning around him grew more and more ferocious.

Goten had, one way or another, seen Super Saiyan Blue before, yet he was actually shaken by Goku's current Super Saiyan Three.

"Goten, Dad still has lots of forms I haven't shown you. Do you still want to keep watching?"

Goten said excitedly, "Yes, yes, yes!"

Goku raised his aura again. His hair slowly shrank back, and the blue lightning around him vanished. Immediately afterward, red flames replaced it. His eyes changed from blue to red, and his hair took on the appearance of his normal state, only now it had turned red.

"Dad, I can feel that the power of this form is much stronger than Super Saiyan Three, but it doesn't look like it has that kind of pressure."

"Oh? Is that so?"

Goku smiled, then flashed in front of Goten. With both hands, he grabbed Goten's hands at a speed invisible to the naked eye and began flying forward. Though it wasn't as instant as Instant Transmission, the speed of this form was indeed very fast.

The flames that appeared around Goku surrounded both Goku and Goten, with some blue mixed in as well. The Super Saiyan God form, enhanced by Angel Power, looked like red fused with blue. It seemed very incompatible, but when it truly appeared on Goku, his appearance was still enough to leave one shaken. Cool. Too cool.

"Goten, let's go home and eat first. I'll show you more tonight. I really am starving."

Goten nodded. Then, with an unbelievable burst of speed, Goku arrived above their home. When he landed, Goku was holding Goten as he descended from the sky, and the flames around him trailed rapidly behind him like a tail. From far away, he looked just like a red divine dragon.

Goten's eyes shone. He simply loved the way Goku looked like this. Goku exited his Super Saiyan form, picked Goten up, and went inside to eat.
