"Bro, try this. The meat's tender!" Raditz tore off a chunk of golden-brown dragon meat without hesitation, stuffed it into his mouth, and chewed until his face gleamed with oil. He waved the skewer in his hand at Gou Kong.
Gou Kong took his own skewer down as well. One bite nearly made him swallow his tongue.
The Tyrannosaurus meat was pure lean meat, yet it was not tough in the slightest. Somehow, its fat was distributed perfectly through it. The meat was so soft and tender that it melted at the touch of his tongue. There were no seasonings at all, yet its savory fragrance went straight to his head.
Raditz ate like a starving ghost reborn. In just a few bites, he stripped clean an entire skewer as thick as an adult's arm, then reached for another. His cheeks bulged as if he had hidden two walnuts inside.
Gou Kong was about to stuff the second piece of meat into his mouth when Raditz suddenly spoke. His voice was muffled amid the crackling flames. "Bro, do you think I can beat Vegeta? I still can't make up my mind. Is it really the right choice to go against those two?"
With his mouth full of meat, Gou Kong could not answer right away. He could only raise a hand in a gesture telling him to wait, then quickly chewed and swallowed. Only after clearly feeling the meat slide down his throat into his stomach did he rudely toss the empty skewer onto the ground and say, "You scared?"
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't." Raditz gave a self-mocking smile, staring blankly at the dancing flames. His fingertips unconsciously rubbed at the edge of his bodysuit. "Vegeta's power level has been freakish ever since we were kids.
