The Gap

Kashius stood to one side, watching Buds nestled in Gine's arms. The warm scene brought an involuntary smile to his lips.

With Gine looking after him, Buds probably would not be left alone and lonely anymore. The bond between family was the most sincere of all.

Suddenly, Kashius's expression turned grim. His pupils contracted instantly as he spun around in shock, his golden eyes blazing with dazzling radiance.

A figure silently flashed through his glaring vision.

"Who are you?! What are you trying to do?!!!" Kashius roared, his body trembling as he hunched over and tensed, shooting toward the figure reflected in his eyes.

A violent gale howled, carrying golden lightning and the sharp sound of air being torn apart. The world trembled violently, followed by a thunderous impact.

In an instant, lightning fangs bore down with overwhelming force. A heavy, immense pressure spread like raging ocean waves, and the world completely changed color—black one moment, white the next, then blue, chaotically tangled together!

"As expected of Bardock's son. You actually managed to catch my trail. If you weren't an outsider from beyond this world, I truly wouldn't have wanted to make a move against you!" Nero clasped his hands together before his chest and forcibly withstood Kashius's punch.

Bardock had torn off his hands, but they had already grown back by now.

Kashius stared coldly at Nero and roared, "What did I do wrong? I only wanted to survive. That's all!"

"Heh. Your very existence is a mistake! You are destined to be erased from this world!" Nero sneered, then suddenly exerted force with his clasped hands.

Kashius's striking fist abruptly halted. In that instant, he felt an irresistible, tremendous force, and his body flew backward beyond his control.

"Compared to me, you are still far too weak. I
