Android 18 watched quietly, tears filling her eyes and streaming down uncontrollably like a string of pearls. Before she knew it, her voice had already become choked with sobs.
The emotions she had held in for the past year could no longer be contained the moment she saw Kashius, bursting forth all at once.
Tap, tap, tap-tap.
After one step, two steps, then three, a lovely, petite figure suddenly threw herself into Kashius's arms. Then, a cry that was nearly heart-wrenching rang out.
Kashius stood there in a daze, his brows deeply furrowed and the corner of his mouth twitching. Eyes wide, he looked around at the crowd—some had lowered their heads, some looked thrilled, while others were crying tears of joy.
Something about this doesn't seem right...
Scratching his head, he held Android 18 in his arms and bolted out the door.
While Kashius slipped away with Android 18 in his arms, the people who had been stunned by his appearance finally came back to their senses.
"Huh? He ran away?!!!" Gine exclaimed in surprise. Then, the moment her gaze fell upon the figure glowing with white light and she saw his face, she completely lost her composure.
"Y-you're Bardock?" Gine staggered over to Bardock, her voice trembling.
At Gine's cry, everyone's attention focused on Bardock once more. Raditz in particular had gone deathly pale, looking utterly terrified.
That was only natural. After all, the one who had just spoken up to argue with Bardock had been none other than his eldest son...
West City, atop the massive rooftop of the clock tower.
Feeling the petite body in his arms trembling nonstop, along with the choked sobs that continued to sound, Kashius felt as though blade after blade were stabbing into his heart, piercing him to the bone.
