On the small island a thousand meters below, Illya, with her deep blue hair, silently appeared beside Android 18. Her hands darted into the latter's arms, and she snatched Lacus away in one swift motion.

"What are you trying to do?!" Android 18 cried out, instinctively lunging forward to seize Lacus back.

But how could Illya, who had long served as an intelligence agent across the universe, be weak? Facing the charging Android 18, she lashed out with a lightning-fast kick.

"Pfft!"

Android 18 tried to dodge, but Illya was simply too fast. Like a beam of light, she arrived with an utterly overbearing force that seemed to pierce straight through her.

With a heavy muffled impact, Android 18 was sent flying backward, blood spilling from the corner of her mouth.

"Towa, stop her!" Eva cried out. As she warned Towa, she swiftly waved her staff, trying to seal off the space around them. She naturally knew of Illya's ability—spatial teleportation!

"What a pity. It's already too late," Illya sneered. Just as she was about to taunt them, an afterimage suddenly appeared before her. Startled, she quickly activated her spatial teleportation ability.

How could Towa possibly let her go when Eva had given the order? Her body trembled as her speed increased by more than double. Clenching her hand into a fist, she threw a heavy punch at Illya's chest.

"Towa, don't hit there! Can't you see Lacus is in her arms?" Eva immediately panicked. "Do you want to kill the child along with her?!"

Hearing that, Towa's fist paused slightly just before striking Illya, but it still did not stop and continued forward.

That made sense. If inertia could be stopped so easily, there would be no car accidents on Earth.
