Vegeta was kicked into the air.

And standing where he had been was Jiang Ling, who had just arrived.

"What kind of nerve does it take to say something like that?"

Two shockwaves shot from Piccolo's and Gohan's hands.

Masenko!

Special Beam Cannon!

The unexpected attacks slammed straight into Vegeta, who was defenseless in the sky.

"We did it!"

Son Gohan said excitedly.

Jiang Ling smiled faintly. "How's that? Teamwork and sneak attacks feel pretty good, don't they?"

Son Gohan clearly agreed, and Piccolo gave a slight nod.

Vegeta's figure appeared in the air, his clothes somewhat disheveled, his expression ugly to the extreme.

He had only just called them ants, and in the blink of an eye, those "ants" had slapped him in the face.

Not far away, Son Goku, covered in raging red flames, said, "Don't interfere. I'm going to defeat him myself."

Hearing that, Jiang Ling glanced at Vegeta, then looked at Yamcha and the other two lying lifeless on the ground, and immediately understood what Goku was thinking.

He sighed inwardly.

"Vegeta at this point really was a hateful existence.

Nothing like the Vegeta from later on."

Pushing aside his jumbled thoughts, Jiang Ling nodded. "All right. Then he's yours."

"Good luck, Dad!" Son Gohan shouted.

"Be careful," Piccolo said.

Son Goku nodded, then shot out like a cannonball, streaking a red arc through the air.

He slammed straight into the confident Vegeta!

In just an instant, Vegeta coughed blood and flew backward, spraying a mist of blood across the sky.

His eyes went wide, his face full of disbelief.

How could he be this fast?!

And what was with that overwhelming power?!

While Vegeta was still stunned, Son Goku's figure had already appeared behind him, kicking out fiercely.

"Ah!!"

Vegeta screamed and crashed heavily from the sky into the ground, smashing out a deep pit.

His expression looked as miserable as if he had eaten shit.

Impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

How could a low-class warrior possibly possess such powerful strength?!

The more Vegeta thought about it, the worse he felt. In the end, his rage attacked his heart and aggravated his injuries, and with a "wa," he spat out a mouthful of clotted blood. Only then did he feel much better.

Son Goku stood at the edge of the deep pit, a trace of blood running from the corner of his mouth. He panted heavily, his body trembling slightly.

Vegeta's expression tightened, and his aura erupted. With a rapid movement, he appeared directly in front of Son Goku, his fists raining down.

Ata-ta-ta-ta-ta!!

Son Goku was no pushover either. Using both hands and feet, relying on his powerful reflexes and the increased strength from the triple Kaioken, he blocked every one of Vegeta's attacks. In the gaps between them, he even landed several vicious punches, making Vegeta's injuries worse and worse!

After a dozen-odd exchanges, Vegeta crashed to the ground again, his face bruised and swollen, his body in an utterly sorry state.

After all, he only had a battle power of eighteen thousand, while Goku, using the triple Kaioken, had reached over twenty thousand!

Son Goku panted heavily. His body had endured a tremendous burden, and he was already close to being unable to hold on.

"Heh heh heh heh... You're good, Kakarot."

Vegeta stared straight up at the daytime sky. "Too bad your tail's gone. You can't use the Saiyan race's greatest power!"

Son Goku froze slightly, baffled. "What?"

Not far away, Piccolo's expression went blank for a moment. His eyes flicked toward Gohan as if he had thought of something, then he looked up at the sky.

He thought to himself, Surely not. I destroyed the moon...

When Jiang Ling heard those words, he quickly shouted, "Stop him!"

Before Goku could react, Vegeta raised his hand. A faintly glowing mass of energy gathered, then he threw it into the sky.

Power Ball!

When a Saiyan saw a full moon, they could transform into a great ape and gain terrifying power.

And if there was no full moon or moon, a Saiyan could consume their own "ki" to create a Power Ball!

Jiang Ling lowered his head, refusing to look at the moon in the sky. His tail was still there, and he had no desire to turn into a great ape!

"Everyone, attack now! There's no time!"

As Jiang Ling spoke, he cupped his hands at his waist like a flower calyx, instantly gathering a blast of energy.

When Krillin, Piccolo, and Son Gohan heard him, they all used the moves they could fire the fastest.

Vegeta's lips curled upward. His body had already begun to grow, black fur sprouting across it.

"Roar—"

The wild roar made even the nearby stones tremble.

The attacks Jiang Ling and the others fired struck Great Ape Vegeta, but they had little effect.

"Hahaha! This is the power of a Saiyan!"

Great Ape Vegeta laughed and fired an energy cannon from his mouth toward Jiang Ling and the others.

Jiang Ling and the others quickly dodged. The energy cannon slammed into the ground, sending rubble flying and blasting out a deep crater.

Vegeta turned his head. Seeing Son Goku's bewildered look, he opened his mouth and said:

"You've lost your memories as a Saiyan, so it's understandable that you don't know. Let me tell you: when a Saiyan with a tail sees a full moon, they can transform into a great ape, and their strength shoots up tenfold!"

"A full moon... a great ape..."

Son Goku murmured under his breath, his eyes turning hollow. "So... when I was little, I crushed Grandpa to death... I'm sorry, Grandpa..."

Great Ape Vegeta raised his hand and brought it down toward Son Goku with a whistling rush of air.

Son Goku hurriedly leapt aside to dodge.

The rock he had been standing on, along with the earth beneath it, was smashed to pieces.

Though Vegeta was enormous now, his agility was no lower than Goku's, and his mind remained clear.

Goku's figure darted across the battlefield, dodging Vegeta's attacks!

At this moment, he pushed all those chaotic thoughts to the back of his mind. The most important thing was still the battle.

Right now, the gap in their combat strength was enormous. One mistake, and he would die on the spot!

Son Goku jumped onto a huge rock, but a sudden, severe pain shot through his body, causing him to falter.

Then Vegeta grabbed him and clenched him viciously in his hand.

He squeezed hard!

"AAAAAAAH!!!"

Son Goku screamed in agony.

"Hahahahaha, die!"

Vegeta laughed madly.

He had already thrown the Dragon Ball and Senzu Bean to the back of his mind.

Because Son Goku posed a threat to his life, he had to kill Son Goku first!

But just then—

A voice rang out from Vegeta's side.

"Nyah nyah, trash Vegeta, look over here!"

Krillin pulled a face, dragging a flat, high-speed spinning Destructo Disc in his hand!

With a wave, the Destructo Disc flew toward Vegeta's tail!

"Heh! Stupid Earthling. You're reminding me before attacking my tail."

Vegeta sneered and dodged the Destructo Disc with a single bound!

"Goku, use Solar Flare!"

Clutched in Vegeta's hand, Goku heard him and forced himself through the pain to unleash Solar Flare!

The blinding light instantly seared the titanium-alloy ape eyes of Vegeta, who was right in front of him!

"Ah!!! My eyes! I'm going blind!!"

Vegeta covered his eyes with one hand, while the other still refused to let go of Son Goku.

A hum rang out.

Behind Vegeta, Jiang Ling appeared silently, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly as the Destructo Disc he had prepared long ago flew straight at the tail!
