Black Lake.

A giant squid lay in the shallow water, enjoying a warm sunbath.

The Weasley Twins and Lee Jordan were fiddling with the Giant Squid's tentacles, which the latter merely swayed lazily, ignoring the daring little creatures.

Harry, passing by the lake, had no interest in joining in. He rubbed his forehead, trying to ease the pain of the scar, but to no avail.

"Harry, don't worry too much about the exam results. Lucien has taught us so much; you'll pass without a doubt!"

Ron's words of comfort did not reassure Harry; he shook his head vigorously.

"No, I was thinking about the Sorcerer's Stone..."

A large flock of owls flew towards the castle, carrying envelopes or packages.

Harry looked up and saw this, guessing it must be a letter from the young wizard's parents inquiring about the holiday schedule.

He wasn't sure if his aunt and uncle would write to ask, but Hagrid the one who wrote to him the most.

Hagrid...

Hagrid!

"Dragon egg!"

In his anguish, Harry seized upon a glimmer of inspiration and finally realized he had overlooked something.

He leaped to his feet and sprinted toward the hunting grounds.

Ron and Hermione were forced to follow.

"Wait, wait, Harry, what's the rush?"

Harry explained hastily as he ran:

"It's a dragon egg! Hagrid likes Fire Dragon, but why would someone 'give' him a dragon egg? That's too much of a coincidence!"

The three little ones ran all the way to the front of the cottage and saw Hagrid sitting there, holding a flute and gently playing it, though he was off-key.

"Hagrid, back then..."

After talking with Hagrid, Harry immediately realized that someone had already figured out a way to bypass Fluffy.

The Sorcerer's Stone is in danger!

"I'm going to find Dumbledore!"

"Ron, Hermione, which of you should go find Lucien first and explain the situation? We need his help!"

late at night.

The little wizards, having had a relaxing and fun time, were mostly tired and ready to rest.

The entire castle became quiet.

Quirrell, dressed in a purple robe and wearing a long headscarf, walked silently down a dark corridor.

Today, Dumbledore was urgently transferred to London; the Ministry of Magic has important matters that require his attention.

And having just finished the year-end exams, it was the most relaxed night for both students and professors.

Quirrell knew this was the best opportunity, and Voldemort urged him to act quickly.

As Quirrell walked through the castle, he recalled information about the levels.

He spent a great deal of effort and time gathering enough information from various professors.

The goal was to finish this quickly, obtain the Sorcerer's Stone as soon as possible, evacuate from Hogwarts, and then...

Then he would revive Voldemort, who was residing within him, help him rebuild his physical body, and thus gain his freedom!

Soon, Quirrell arrived at a corridor on the fourth floor and locked his sights on the dilapidated wooden door.

Stopping in front of the door, Quirrell closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths.

He has no way back.

After encountering Voldemort in the Dark Forest of Albania, Quirrell had no choice.

"Go, my faithful servant, retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone for me..."

Whispers echoed in Quirrell's mind, reminding him to act quickly.

Quirrell sighed silently, pulled a harp from his pocket, and waved his wand.

The harp grew larger, and its strings began to pluck on their own, producing beautiful music.

Looking at the harp playing music, Quirrell was quite helpless. He never expected that the ferocious Three-Headed Dog could fall asleep just by listening to music.

What was even more unexpected was that the Half-Giant Hagrid was so easy to get information out of him; he talked after just a few drinks.

Quirrell felt a pang of regret; he hadn't needed to spend all his savings to buy some kind of dragon egg to gather information.

After waiting a while, until he could clearly hear snoring coming from the room, Quirrell opened the wooden door and went inside.

The Three-Headed Dog was indeed asleep, its three large heads drooping on the ground, drooling and fast asleep.

Quirrell tossed the harp into a corner, swung his cane to move the Three-Headed Dog aside, revealing Trapdoor on the ground.

Lifting the door panel, I saw serpentine vines slowly wriggling underneath.

Devil's Snare, Professor Sprout is as kind and benevolent as ever.

Without first emitting light or igniting flames, Quirrell jumped directly onto the Devil's Snare.

Since it's an existing buffer anyway, might as well use it.

After falling, I didn't observe carefully and didn't notice the round thing wrapped in the middle of the Devil's Snare.

"Lumos"

A flash of light appeared, and the Devil's Snare released Quirrell one by one, letting him fall to the ground below.

"Clap clap clap--"

As Quirrell landed, he heard the sound of hard objects hitting the ground, seemingly falling at the same time as him.

Pointing the tip of the wand at the ground, I used the light to see the ground clearly.

Plump, yellowish-green cabbages were scattered on the ground, and as the Devil's Snare tightened, they continued to fall from above Quirrell's head.

At first, Quirrell didn't realize that the information he had gathered didn't mention anything about cabbage...

The first cabbage to fall seemed to be awakened by the impact; a crack appeared on its surface, revealing two rows of black teeth that creaked and gleamed with a terrifyingly cold light.

Quirrell, a distinguished graduate of Ravenclaw, was naturally quite adept at Herbology, and at this moment he recognized these cabbages.

No, to hell with cabbages!

This is the Chinese Chomping Cabbage!

Quirrell quickly put on a shield, but it wasn't thick or strong enough in the rush.

The Chinese Biting Cabbage chewed up Quirrell's protective shield and slashed hard at his left hand.

"Sizzle--"

A large patch of flesh and blood was torn off his sleeve by the Chinese Biting Cabbage. If Quirrell hadn't been experienced and pulled his hand back quickly, he would have said goodbye to his left hand once again.

"Damn it! Why is it my left hand again!"

Quirrell unleashed a barrage of fire spells, the best way to deal with the Chinese Biting Cabbage.

His approach was correct, it's just that there were a few too many Chinese Biting Cabbage.

Moreover, the hotter the flames, the faster the Devil's Snare above shrinks, and the more Chinese Biting Cabbage fall from it!

Finally, at the cost of having his left hand and right calf bitten and his clothes tattered, Quirrell cleared away all the Chinese Biting Cabbage.

He limped into the corridor and headed to the next room.

Quirrell, panting heavily, endured the pain.

"What's gotten into Professor Sprout? He's hiding Chinese Biting Cabbage in the Devil's Snare!"

"Don't worry about the physical pain, the Sorcerer's Stone is right before your eyes..."

"Once I'm resurrected, restoring you to health will be a piece of cake..."

Voldemort's whispers rang out again, irritating Quirrell, who was unable to speak.

"Next comes Professor Flitwick's test. He was my former dean, and I know him."

"I believe him, that level definitely isn't difficult!"
