Background

Lucien is a Muggle-born wizard whose first major magical awakening is triggered by accepting the system loan Loki's Faceless. While unconscious, he performs transformations far beyond a beginner's level, including changing objects into living things and shifting between species. Professor McGonagall recognizes the event as proof of extraordinary Transfiguration talent; afterward, Lucien's formerly black eyes become dark green. 2
