Nicolas: Hogwarts Suspected to Be Too Dangerous
A room with elegant decor.
"Teacher, I never expected to run into you here."
Lucien looked at the sprightly old man in the white robe before him.
After taking the Revitalization Potion potion, Nicolas Flamel's aged appearance, which had taken hundreds of years to appear, was no longer there.
He looks at most like a centenarian, which isn't even considered particularly old among wizards.
"The spaceship just wandered here," Nicolas said with a grin, holding a half-empty bottle of bubbling iced cola. "I never expected to run into you in this desolate place. Isn't Christmas almost here?"
Lucien caught a glimpse of the familiar spaceship silhouette in the sky while on his way to the next Norwegian Ridgeback habitat, and decided to pay it a visit.
"I'm looking for the Norwegian Ridgeback."
Nicolas nodded, not asking for further details.
He took a big gulp of his ice-cold cola through the straw, then let out a loud burp, looking completely satisfied.
"It's been so long since I've felt this way, eating and drinking as I please."
"No wonder Albus so obsessed with sweets..."
Nicolas shifted into a more comfortable sitting position and asked with great interest:
"What's new at Hogwarts this semester? I've been floating around in the sky, so I'm not very well-informed."
Lucien then picked out some of the main points to discuss.
At first, Nicolas listened with amusement, but as the conversation turned to the Chamber of Secrets, the Basilisk, the subsequent attacks, and Lucien's response, the legendary Alchemy gradually sat up straight.
After listening, he hesitated for a moment before slowly speaking:
"Lucien, isn't Hogwarts a bit too... a bit too lively? Last year a dark wizard snuck in, and this year it's this thousand-year-old Basilisk."
"Hmm, would you like to consider transferring to Beauxbatons? The paperwork is very easy."
Nicolas genuinely found it outrageous.
He wasn't surprised by the existence of the Basilisk or the dark wizard; after all, he had lived for six hundred years and seen it all.
But that's a school, a place for students to study, and with Dumbledore in charge, Hogwarts is known as the safest place...
With such major incidents occurring for two consecutive years, Nicolas was worried about her last student living in such a stimulating environment every day.
He knows Beauxbatons inside and out, so he wouldn't cause trouble every year. Besides, Beauxbatons ' Defense Against the Dark Arts class isn't cursed, so there's no way any dangerous people could have infiltrated it.
Moreover, given Nicolas's status in the France Wizarding World and her influence over Beauxbatons, arranging Lucien's transfer would be a simple matter of a word.
"Thank you, teacher," Lucien declined politely, "But I'm quite comfortable at Hogwarts, and Headmaster Dumbledore said that next semester there will be Triwizard Tournament between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang, which will be held in Beauxbatons. I can go and see it for myself."
Seeing Nicolas Lucien still had no intention of transferring schools, Ni nodded.
"Okay, you can decide for yourself. If you encounter any difficulties, just write to me."
He paused, as if suddenly remembering something.
"By the way, has the list of events for that Triwizard Tournament been finalized?"
This was a normal question, but Lucien's eyes couldn't help but look a little strange as he recalled his conversation with Dumbledore.
He hesitated for a moment before speaking:
"The principal said that the project proposed by Beauxbatons seems to be Alchemy."
As soon as he finished speaking, Nicolas stopped in his tracks, about to drink his cola. He slowly put the bottle down.
"Albus planning to have you represent Hogwarts in this competition?"
Although Lucien hadn't answered yet, seeing his expression, Nicolas's lips twitched slightly.
"Hmm, does he think it would be particularly 'interesting' to have you—my student—win the alchemy competition in Beauxbatons?"
Nicolas guessed everything correctly all at once.
Lucien was immediately embarrassed; nodding was one thing, but not nodding was another.
Hmm, do these legendary wizards of advanced age all share some kind of magical understanding?
