Ring of Myriad Phenomena
The Box World.
Surrounded by a lush, green forest.
Lucien gently turned the Ring of Myriad Phenomena on his finger, and a pale green light emanated from the emerald, transforming into a green line that divided the silver-white ring in two.
Half of the ring remained on Lucien's left index finger, while the other half detached automatically and quickly transformed into a small sparrow in mid-air.
Driven by magic, the sparrow spread its wings and flew gracefully around the trees.
At the same time, the emerald on the Ring of Myriad Phenomena shone brightly again, drifting to Lucien's left eye and transforming into a translucent emerald green ring.
Lucien's right eye vision remained normal, but the scene in his left eye had been replaced by a gradually shrinking forest.
He was now sharing the little sparrow's view.
This is the special effect of the Ring of Myriad Phenomena: it can separate and Transfiguration parts of the ring, allowing the user to establish a connection with the separated ring through a miniature magic array within the ring, and perceive its surrounding environment.
If flexibility is the priority, then naturally Transfiguration an animal is better.
It's essentially a magical version of a drone.
However, Lucien was more interested in the magic circle engraved on the ring.
This magic circle can connect two separate entities, transmitting information such as images, sounds, and even smells and temperatures. If it could be replicated and modified using Alchemy, it might be possible to create magical items for long-distance communication.
The magical mobile phone will bring a little shock to the wizards.
Oh no, besides images and sounds, this magic circle can also share more information like smell and temperature. Hearing and vision are no problem, and maybe even smell and touch can be achieved. I haven't tried taste yet, maybe I should control that sparrow to catch an insect and taste it...
Lucien chuckled. Wasn't this just a joke he'd seen in his past life? Someone would see a food video and say, "When I'm rich, I definitely want to buy a phone that can taste the food!"
There is a big difference between magic and technology. For example, Muggle' ability to transmit images remotely came about a century later than their ability to transmit sound and text. However, the advancement of magic technology is not a step-by-step process; multiple forms of remote communication may be completed simultaneously.
If a magical version of a mobile phone could truly be created, even if it only transmits sound and images, it would be a major technological innovation for the Wizarding World and would become a new best-selling product.
Although telegraphs and even cell phones have been invented in the Muggle world, wizards are often unaccustomed to or even disdainful of using Muggle devices.
Take television for example. Lucien has heard some Half-blood or Pure-blood young wizards complain that their wizarding parents are unwilling to buy or understand Muggle things, so if they want to watch something, they have to go to their neighbor's house to watch TV.
However, wizards would be more accepting of magical items, and given the more convenient communication method compared to owl mail, they would likely not refuse it.
Lucien thought for a moment, and realized he could also make the magic-themed phone look more wizard-like, like a book or a magic mirror...
"Ugh, it's just that the distance is a bit too short."
The Transfiguration sparrow hadn't flown far when Lucien sensed a "bad signal," and the shared field of vision became blurry and intermittent.
It is clear that the connection distance established by the magic array is limited.
Controlling the Transfiguration sparrow to fly back, Lucien rubbed the Ring of Myriad Phenomena on his finger.
The range of the magic circle's connection definitely needs to be expanded. This might require simplifying some rune functions. Additionally, materials are crucial; scarce raw materials will limit item production...
He took out the Winky Order of Merlin from his pocket and examined it. Unfortunately, this famous medal didn't have any magical effects; it was just plain beautiful.
However, the fame brought by the Order of Merlin, First Class, is immeasurable. Lucien is now a household name in the Wizarding World and even has a group of fans.
Combined with his achievements in Transfiguration, Lucien has now also made a name for himself in academia.
Owls have been delivering letters from all over the world, some from fans and some from scholars. The former are full of praise and admiration, while the latter mainly discuss Transfiguration.
Those who are accomplished come first; scholars focus more on knowledge, and their exchanges are more genuine.
Lucien checked the repayment progress of the Emerald Tablet Fragment. The sales amount and quantity of potions and alchemical items were soaring. It was foreseeable that the progress would increase significantly once popular products such as magic-themed mobile phones were launched.
Lucien stuffed the Order of Merlin back into his pocket and looked at the shimmering, ever-changing Ring of Myriad Phenomena.
"I wonder if achievement rewards in fields like potions, alchemy, and spells possess any special magical effects like rings?"
I must say, collecting illustrations is actually quite interesting.
