The clock in the alchemy classroom ticked away, and the three hours of the preliminary round were almost over.

The participating students have gradually completed their respective works.

Riemann Selwyn, Slytherin House, Year 7.

He picked up three items and walked to the podium.

Seeing that another contestant had come to submit their work, Lucien pointed to the parchment and quill pen on the podium and said:

"Sign your name first."

With a wave of his hand, Lucien caused the three items to float side by side in front of him. He examined them carefully, making occasional notes on the scoring board in his hand.

Looking at Lucien, who was grading, Riemann felt inexplicably uneasy. He was supposed to be the senior!

Why was I being assessed by a junior student?

Riemann was born into the Selwyn Family, one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, and made his living through alchemy and potions.

Riemann, who already possessed considerable alchemical talent, coupled with the nurturing influence of his family's resources, was very confident in passing the Hogwarts preliminary rounds.

There weren't many students in the school who truly understood Alchemy. Riemann believed he was among the top three in the sixth and seventh grades, and with two spots available in the preliminary rounds, his chances of being selected were very high.

But who knew Lucien would suddenly appear out of nowhere, a second-year student at that? Wouldn't it have been better to leave the opportunity to the upperclassmen...?

Now there's only one spot left, and the pressure has suddenly increased.

This is an exchange competition themed around alchemy, jointly organized by the three major magic schools in Europe. The last time a competition of this scale was held was a hundred years ago.

The allure of winning the championship for a Slytherin is undeniable.

Thinking of honor, Riemann's face fell. The junior student who was grading her class had just received the Order of Merlin, First Class, an honor that made all the Slytherin drool with envy!

"Senior, is there something you want to say?"

After Lucien finished grading, he looked up and saw that the student named Riemann's expression was constantly changing, which was quite interesting, so he asked him a question.

Upon hearing this, Riemann's face twitched, and she composed herself.

"Ahem, no, it's nothing. Um, I just wanted to ask how your grades were?"

After glancing at Riemann a few times, Lucien put down the scoring board and said gently:

"The completion rate is very high, and it took very little time. I will announce the results shortly. Senior, you can go back to your seat and wait."

Having heard Lucien say the same thing as his sister, Riemann had no choice but to take his work back to its original place.

Lucien glanced at the clock and saw that there were only ten minutes left, so he reminded him of the time.

Then, looking at the clearly listed deductions and scoring points on the scoring board, Lucien shook his head helplessly.

He came up with all of this on the spot based on the three projects. That Professor Shafiq really moved fast; he didn't even explain any evaluation criteria.

Fortunately, I was used to tutoring Harry and his friends, and I was also used to assigning homework and giving tests. Plus, with my mastery of Alchemy, it wasn't difficult for me to list hundreds of test points.

Lucien looked up and scanned the classroom. In fact, very few people participated in this preliminary competition, because there were not many students who were qualified in alchemy. This subject was quite complex, and the requirement for students' talent was one aspect.

Learning Alchemy often requires considerable wealth. The initial foundation is fine, but if one wants to study it in depth, the materials used for practice can be a significant expense.

So looking around, most of the players Lucien saw were from Pure-blood families.

For a moment, his thoughts drifted back to Beauxbatons, whom he had never met. He was genuinely curious about how that magic school had managed to lower the Alchemy Class to the lower grades, allowing more young wizards to learn it.

Why not learn from their experience and bring it back to Hogwarts for reference...?
