Half-Day Round Trip
An alchemy room in Beauxbatons.
Merlin's boots! So fast?! Incredibly fast!
Riemann was repeatedly adjusting a semi-finished alchemical array diagram at his workbench, rehearsing for the final free alchemy stage, when Lucien knocked on the door and handed him a rather heavy-looking leather suitcase.
When Riemann opened the package, he saw that it contained the very rare materials he had urgently requested in his letter home.
He had already mentally prepared himself—that owls delivering mail across borders, even with the help of postal routes between the two countries' Ministry of Magic, would still take at least three or four days round trip.
Riemann estimated that he would likely not be able to obtain these materials for limited testing until just before the match.
But Lucien... it's only been less than half a day, right?
So you just went from Beauxbatons to Hogwarts and back?
Riemann stared in astonishment at the materials in the box, whose sealing magic remained intact.
Although he didn't know exactly what method Lucien used, the efficiency was truly astonishing.
"Thank you so much, Lucien!" Riemann closed the box and thanked him sincerely.
The fact that the materials arrived in advance meant he had ample time to experiment and make adjustments, which significantly increased his chances of winning the competition.
You're welcome, it was nothing.
Lucien's answer was simple: his temporary return to Hogwarts was mainly to take care of his own affairs, and helping this senior carry the materials was just a small favor, something he did on a whim.
Riemann wisely refrained from pressing Lucien about how he had managed it.
In the wizarding world, everyone has their own secret methods that they are reluctant to reveal, especially magic involving long-distance travel.
But this incident undoubtedly added another layer of mystery to Lucien in Riemann's eyes.
In fact, besides his unparalleled magical talent, the junior's profound knowledge and endless unconventional methods surprised Riemann, who came from the Selwyn Family.
Merlin's talent may be a gift, but where did his profound and incomprehensible accumulation of knowledge and this incredible teleportation method come from?
It was strange that Riemann knew Lucien was from Muggle family.
Riemann's first thought regarding traveling between the two countries within half a day was extremely high-level Apparition magic, but that would be incredibly burdensome and dangerous for a wizard; Floo Network? Its cross-border routes were complex and required precise access control; Portkey? They needed to be made and reported in advance...
Riemann even thought of Headmaster Dumbledore's Phoenix, a legendary creature with the ability to teleport over extremely long distances.
He couldn't help but glance at Lucien suspiciously—surely this junior wasn't hiding a Phoenix as a pet?
But the idea was too far-fetched, and Riemann himself shook his head.
"That's good. I have an appointment, so I'll be going now."
Lucien's words interrupted Riemann's thoughts.
Riemann immediately gave a knowing smile, thinking that this junior had acted very quickly...
He had previously spotted Lucien and the Beauxbatons starlet, Phoebe Delacour, walking and talking in the castle gardens.
"Is there anything I can help you with, brother? Like, some advice?" Riemann asked, half-jokingly.
Lucien actually pulled a neatly folded piece of parchment from his pocket and handed it over.
"Yes, there really is. Could you help me fill this out?"
Riemann took the unfolded book, and the title that caught his eye made his lips twitch:
<Hogwarts Valentine's Day Event Intention Survey (Special Edition)>
Riemann looked somewhat amused and exasperated, thinking that Lucien was truly an academic, needing to conduct surveys before even dating a girl...
However, Riemann felt relieved when he realized the other person was a Ravenclaw, because Eagle House can be quite "unconventional" at times.
