Want to Learn Firestorm and Fiendfyre
Achoo!
Lucien, back in his temporary dormitory, had just sat down on the sofa when he suddenly sneezed loudly without warning.
He rubbed his nose, somewhat puzzled, and took out his wand, whispering a few healing spells for examination.
The soft magical light lingered on her body for a moment before dissipating.
"That's strange, I didn't catch a cold."
Shaking his head, Lucien put the little incident behind him, relaxed his body, leaned back in the soft cushions, and the tension that had lasted for many days eased slightly.
After the awards ceremony is held the day after tomorrow, this Triwizard Tournament will officially come to an end.
Well, the first thing to do after returning to Hogwarts is to find Dumbledore and fulfill the promised "reward"—entering the castle's magical core to absorb the emotional energy and dissipated magic that have accumulated over the years, in order to prepare materials for crafting the Sorcerer's Stone.
Of course, it's not the "complete" version of the Sorcerer's Stone that can turn stones into gold or concoct Elixir of Life.
The supreme alchemical achievements involving the essence of life and the eternal transformation of matter are beyond Lucien's current level of understanding and require a long period of study and accumulation.
However, Nicolas had already taught him a simplified method for crafting Sorcerer's Stone.
This was a milestone in Nicolas's exploration of the Sorcerer's Stone crafting process. It could not achieve the two legendary functions, but its core value lay in providing a pure and abundant source of magic and accelerating the reaction and completion speed of conventional alchemy steps.
For Lucien at this point, that's enough.
He is not short of money, is in the prime of his youth, and will even reap the benefits of the "Apples of Youth" in the future.
The simplified version of the Sorcerer's Stone provides magical energy and alchemy acceleration, which is exactly what Lucien needs.
Moreover, its refining requirements, both in terms of materials and techniques, are much lower than those of the complete version.
He picked up the teacup beside him and took a sip. The warm liquid brought a slight comfort, but Lucien couldn't help but sigh softly, "Still can't sit still."
Even though the body wants to relax, the brain is like a wound-up toy, unable to resist starting to sort out the subsequent plans that are as intricate as a spider web.
In the long run, the natural course of action is to search for Voldemort's Horcrux scattered around, attempting to eliminate this enormous trouble that will inevitably sweep across the Wizarding World sooner or later.
Lucien had always longed for quiet study, and the resurrection of the Dark Lord was undoubtedly the biggest source of interference.
Closer to home, there's the annual loan I just took on, Youth Apple Seed.
The loan mission requires healing three bloodline curses, which almost inevitably necessitates delving into the realm of Dark Magic and curses.
There is currently a "ready-made patient," namely Nagini, who has been cursed and transformed into a giant snake.
At the same time, the large amount of magical materials needed to cultivate the Apples of Youth is also a long-term and troublesome issue, especially since some of them are rare or even extinct.
The more immediate task is to prepare for the Valentine's Day event after returning to Hogwarts, to enhance the festive atmosphere, and to repay the loan from the Fire Elemental Rune.
With this thought in mind, Lucien's right palm suddenly produced a steadily burning flame.
He raised his hand and looked at the flame-shaped pattern on the tip of his middle finger, which flickered.
"Fire elemental magic..."
Elemental runes, especially those corresponding to the four basic elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, are of great benefit to Alchemy.
However, their most direct and intuitive manifestation is still the amplification of the power of magic of the same element.
When powerful fire magic was mentioned, two names almost instantly jumped into Lucien's mind:
The Firestorm, unleashing Fiendfyre.
The person who brought these two magic techniques to their pinnacle was precisely:
Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald.
"Tsk tsk," a hint of amusement flashed in Lucien's eyes, "I wonder what kind of strange 'synergy' would happen if ' Firestorm ' and ' Fiendfyre ' came together?"
This sudden association made him chuckle softly.
The Firestorm is a profound but not forbidden form of white magic.
When I get back to school, I can mention it to Dumbledore; maybe I'll be able to learn it directly from there.
After all, winning the exchange tournament has brought great prestige to Hogwarts, so it's only fair that they get another curse.
As for the Fiendfyre...
This clearly falls under the category of Dark Magic, and is one of the most notorious and difficult-to-control forms of it.
If Lucien wants to learn, there are actually ways to do so.
In fact, it's theoretically possible to directly consult Dumbledore, since the two had already discussed their attitudes toward Dark Magic. Dumbledore aware of Lucien's view: magic is a tool, and good and evil depend on the wizard.
Perhaps actively learning under Dumbledore's guidance and witness would actually make that somewhat anxious old man feel more at ease?
But just thinking about that scene is a bit eerie.
The greatest white wizard of this century, the headmaster of Hogwarts, and the leader of the righteous path, personally teaches a student Dark Magic?
Lucien chuckled and shook his head, banishing the slightly wicked thought from his mind.
Moreover, the Fiendfyre he truly wanted to learn was Grindelwald's Fiendfyre.
The flames that guy unleashed could burn down the entire Paris!
But how do you learn it?
You can't exactly go and tell Dumbledore you want to learn his former "friend's" signature Dark Magic, can you?
The thought made Lucien laugh at himself.
Haha, does he mean to run all the way to Nurmengard, sneak into one of the most notorious prisons in the Wizarding World, and secretly learn from Grindelwald? Or should he just give him a copy of "Instant Whisper" and then attend a few online classes?
