Having roughly determined his course choices, Harry thanked Lucien and prepared to leave the Room of Requirement.

He had just stood up when he suddenly stopped, turned to look at Lucien, and a look of embarrassment crossed his face.

"Lucien, may I ask you another question?"

Lucien nodded.

Harry didn't speak immediately. Instead, he twisted his fingers together nervously, as if something was stuck in his throat. After a long pause, he finally whispered:

"What I asked... Lucien, could you please not tell anyone else?"

What little secret are they trying to tell us?

Lucien crossed his arms, leaned back in his chair, and smiled slightly.

"Of course, no third person will know."

Harry took a deep breath, as if he had made a major decision.

"I've been having some dreams lately," he said in a low voice, "... well, really strange dreams."

Lucien raised an eyebrow.

Dream?

"In my dream," Harry's voice trailed off, "I was like a frog... oh no, a toad."

"Then, I was... incubating an egg. It should be incubating an egg; the whole toad was lying on an egg, completely still, and it was pitch black all around, I couldn't see anything..."

Turn into a toad to hatch eggs?

Lucien blinked, his eyes full of confusion.

Harry looked at him uneasily, his eyes filled with worry:

"Lucien, am I being afflicted by some strange magic or curse?"

There was a hint of nervousness in his voice.

The semester went smoothly—no dark wizards, no monsters, no one lurking in the shadows trying to harm him—but this "normality" made Harry feel a little uneasy.

Having had several such strange dreams recently reminded him of the knowledge about curses that Professor Flitwick had talked about a few days ago when he was acting as the Defense Against the Dark Magic teacher.

Professor Flitwick stated that some curses do not require direct contact, but rather can erode the mind through special means such as dreams, slowly plunging the cursed person into chaos.

Harry grew increasingly worried, fearing that he might be being targeted by another dark wizard.

Lucien didn't speak, but instead channeled his magic, and tiny black vortexes appeared in his pupils— the Eye of Magic Sight quietly opened.

He carefully scanned Harry's entire body.

There were no abnormal magical fluctuations, no traces of Dark Magic, and the circuits in my body were all normal, with no signs of being eroded or interfered with.

Was it just a dream? Or is there a deeper reason?

Lucien withdrew his gaze and fell into deep thought.

Want to look through some books on dream interpretation? Wizards also have related research.

A toad incubating eggs... Does this have any special meaning? Does incubating eggs represent pregnancy, waiting, and new life? And what does the toad represent? Ugliness, dampness, or lurking?

However, these thoughts only lingered in Lucien's mind for a moment before being replaced by another, stronger feeling—the description of the dream sounded somewhat familiar.

Toad incubating eggs, toad incubating eggs...

A sudden flash of inspiration crossed my mind.

Lucien's expression turned serious as he looked at Harry, his tone becoming earnest:

"Have you had any other dreams before? Like, um, turning into a chicken? Or... a rooster?"

Harry opened his mouth slightly, looking completely bewildered.

He didn't know why Lucien would ask such a strange question, but he tried hard to recall.

His gaze drifted upwards, his brows furrowed, as if he were rummaging through dusty memories in a corner.

After a long pause, Harry said in a very hesitant tone:

"I think... I dreamt I was a chicken. But as for a rooster... I'm not sure. Because at the time—oh no, the chicken in the dream—felt there was an egg inside its belly?"

As Harry spoke, his voice grew weaker and weaker.

He felt he might really be going crazy.

That dream was so outrageous, it was practically on par with the "toad hatching eggs" story.

In my dream, the chicken looked like a big rooster, with a bright comb and long tail feathers, but why was there an egg inside its belly?

Can roosters lay eggs?

Since roosters can't do that in the Muggle world, is there some magical rooster in the wizarding world that can?

After Harry finished speaking, he looked at Lucien uneasily, awaiting his judgment.

Lucien narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze falling on the lightning-shaped scar on Harry's forehead, which was hidden by stray hairs.

The rooster lays the egg, the toad incubates the egg...

Interesting. Is Voldemort going to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors and prepare to breed Basilisk?
