Instant Whisper Goes on Sale
Diagon Alley.
Banners fluttered in the air above the streets, bearing various slogans:
Let "Instant Whisper" bridge the distance between us.
"Beyond traditional letter writing, communication in a new era"
"Aren't you worried about your child studying alone at school?" "Instant Whisper" will help you bridge the distance and provide the best companionship for your child's growth.
"..."
Above the shop selling Instant Whisper, a huge magic screen is embedded, playing a loop of demonstrations on how to use Instant Whisper —two people talking to each other remotely, sending photos, and group chats flashing, the images are vivid and smooth.
The shop was packed with people.
Harry stood in the middle of the crowd, looking somewhat lost.
He had originally planned to come to Diagon Alley with Ron Hermione to see the official release of Instant Talk. Anyway, he had nothing to do during the summer vacation, so it would be good to get away from the Dursleys and have some fun.
The three planned to meet up directly in front of the shop, but none of them expected the scene to be so crowded—there were just people everywhere, and the queue stretched all the way from the shop entrance to Gringotts.
Harry and his friends were still children, and their height was completely hidden among the group of wizards.
"Oh, Potter, are you looking for the end of the line? How pathetic."
A familiar voice came from behind me.
Harry turned his head and, unsurprisingly, saw Malfoy's smiling face.
How could he so "easily" bump into Malfoy in such a dense crowd?
Hearing Malfoy's words, Harry wanted to roll his eyes in exasperation, but instead pulled out a book of Instant Whisper from his pocket.
"Malfoy, did you leave your brain at Hogwarts during your vacation? I already had it—"
But before Harry could finish speaking, Malfoy's face lit up with a triumphant expression, and he flipped his hand over.
Harry squinted slightly—he was blinded by the light.
The cover of the Instant Whisper" in Malfoy's hand was made of matte dark green genuine leather with a fine texture and a subtle silver sheen.
The edges are outlined with vine-like patterns using extremely fine silver threads, understated yet exuding an air of "high price".
Harry was silent for a long time, then slowly said:
"This... is another one of your custom-ordered deluxe versions?"
Malfoy nodded with satisfaction, the corners of his mouth curving into a perfect smile. He looked down and opened Instant Whisper, his fingers swiping rapidly across the screen.
"Ding~"
A notification sound plays.
Harry glanced instinctively at the Instant Whisper in his hand—a new message popped up on the screen; the sender was "Horse Dung."
The text content was unremarkable.
But Harry's gaze was drawn to the portraits and names above the message— Malfoy's portrait had a gold border and was still faintly glowing; his name also had a faint golden halo, as if it were plated with gold leaf.
This is clearly a reminder to the other person: the friend you are chatting with right now is a distinguished holder of the deluxe version of Instant Whisper.
Harry's lips twitched.
Malfoy shook his head, looking regretful, and said:
"Details reveal the quality of life. Potter, you'll probably never grasp that."
An ice cream shop not far away.
The "culprit" behind the bustling scene in Diagon Alley is leisurely sitting at a small round table, with a glass of "Bouncing and Jumping Refreshing" in front of him.
Okay, it's basically just a cup of sea salt ice cream.
Lucien didn't know why the shopkeeper had chosen such a name, only assuming it was a characteristic of wizard naming practices.
I scooped up a spoonful of ice cream and put it in my mouth. The cool sweetness melted on my tongue, with a hint of saltiness.
His attention wasn't on the ice cream or the crowds in Diagon Alley, but rather on the system panel that appeared in his mind, specifically the loan progress bar for the Emerald Tablet Fragment.
Not bad, it's rising quite fast.
