The Wizard's Combat Exercise, The True Chimera
Behind a stone pillar.
Malfoy hid quietly and was not discovered by anyone.
He stared intently at the Troll and Lucien, wanting to mock their stupidity for not running away quickly. He also considered whether to shout for the professors to come, not because he wanted to save them, but because he felt that this would allow him to catch them in the act of breaking the rules.
Who cares about the safety of those guys? They're all annoying Grafton, Potter, Weasley, and there's someone else I think is Granger...
"Hey, Draco, move a little further in."
The sudden sound startled Malfoy, who quickly turned around to look.
"Daphne? What are you doing here?"
The cat behind Malfoy was Daphne Greengrass; she glanced at Malfoy.
What business is it of yours what I do?
Unable to understand this young lady's thought process, but not wanting to offend the heir of the Greengrass Family, Malfoy gave her a slight leeway.
In the corridor.
Lucien relaxed his wrist, slightly raised his wand, and said calmly:
"In battle, whether facing a wizard or Magical Creatures, you should try to learn as much as possible about the opponent beforehand."
Answer me, what are the characteristics of Troll?
This classroom-style question prompted Hermione to answer instinctively:
"Troll possess immense strength, low intelligence, relatively slow movement, thick hides, and considerable magical resistance."
"Well said, Gryffindor gets a point."
Lucien cracked a light joke, which eased the tension among the three children a little.
As he spoke, Lucien unleashed several spells in succession:
"Glacius" (Glacius)
"Diffindo"
"Bombarda"
"..."
To facilitate the demonstration, Lucien did not go all out, keeping the spell's power within a relatively reasonable range.
A thin layer of frost covered the Troll's body, followed by a dozen small cuts, and it was knocked back a few steps by the explosion.
Shaking its head, the thick-skinned Troll only felt a slight pain, let out an impatient roar, and then quickened its pace toward Lucien, striding with its Padfoot.
Yes, casting spells in a specific combination can indeed make the attack smoother and gradually build up momentum.
The Weasley family ' spellcasting skills are quite good.
Seeing the Troll stride towards them, Lucien remained completely calm.
"During combat, always keep an eye on the enemy, but don't ignore your surroundings."
"If direct magical attacks are ineffective against the enemy, try utilizing or altering the environment."
Lucien flicked his wand, and the floor in front of the Troll instantly became smooth and shiny.
"Bang!"
The Troll fell flat on its back, its head slamming heavily into the floor, creating a small crater, and the wooden mallet in its hand flew out of its hand.
Lucien tapped his wand, deftly deflecting the Accio mallet and letting it fall to the side.
After the Troll managed to get up, it charged forward with even greater rage.
The ground beneath it suddenly turned into a muddy swamp.
The Troll's legs immediately sank in, and it was unable to extricate itself for a time.
Glancing at the three little ones who were no longer as panicked and frightened as before, Lucien said calmly:
"It's normal to feel fear when facing a powerful enemy, but don't let that emotion control you; instead, use it."
"The courage to overcome fear is more powerful than fear itself; try to use that courage to activate magic."
The three nodded, somewhat bewildered, thinking that what Lucien said made sense, but they didn't know exactly what to do.
Lucien took out a small green gourd, turned it upside down, and tilted it.
"In wizarding combat, spells are the most practical and common method, but not the only one."
"Potions, alchemy, herbs, and more all have practical applications."
Waddiwasi
Several Chinese Chomping Cabbage poured out of the gourd, and before they even hit the ground, they shot towards the Troll under the influence of the spell.
"Snap! Snap!"
Then came the Troll's slightly painful growl, its Chinese Biting Cabbage teeth digging deep into its flesh, refusing to let go.
The Troll's thick, deformed arms clawed and tore off the Chinese Biting Cabbage, even grabbing one and biting it hard, as if retaliating for the harm they had done to it.
However, Lucien saw that the Troll spat out the cabbage in its mouth the next second and disgustedly threw away the Chinese Biting Cabbage in its hand.
Ha, Chinese Chomping Cabbage is really hard to eat, even Troll can't stomach it?
However, its bite force is indeed quite impressive; it can even bite through the flesh of Troll, although it's not terrifying enough to kill a Troll in two or three bites.
But it's sufficient for humans; it would be good as a trap.
For example, getting mixed up in the Devil's Snare or something.
If you're not careful, you might get bitten, tsk tsk.
Once the Troll broke free of the mud, it charged toward them, driven by rage.
Lucien also gave up his teaching plans.
The demonstration can end now.
"If conventional methods fail to stop the enemy, then only two methods remain."
"Either, make a just retreat."
Upon hearing this, Harry immediately understood and prepared to grab the still bewildered Ron and Hermione and run away.
However, Lucien's next words and actions stopped him.
"Or, use truly powerful magic to blast the enemy to smithereens."
Lucien pulled several small bottles from his pocket, each containing a different potion with varying effects.
With a flick of the Silver-Black Wand, the wooden mallet beside it trembled violently and began to twist and Transfiguration.
The texture of the mallet twisted and expanded, transforming into the body of a python covered in jet-black scales, the edges of which were as sharp as razors.
Its head split into a crocodile snout filled with sharp teeth, and four jet-black eagle claws emerged from its belly.
This monster had insect-like lenses with compound eye structures embedded in its eye sockets, no horns on its head, and messy, stark white bone spurs growing from its back.
Its tail resembles a fusion of a scorpion's tail and a centipede's, with its stinger constantly opening and closing, producing a clicking sound like scissors.
It leaped up and swallowed several bottles of potions that were falling from the sky.
Immediately, as its scales opened and closed, it spewed out blackish-green mist, producing a harsh metallic scraping sound with each breath.
A piercing scream, like the cry of an eagle or the howl of a wolf, came from the monster's mouth.
The next instant, it collided with the Troll.
Lucien had already created an invisible wall to isolate the black and green mist.
In the blink of an eye, the monster bit the Troll's neck, its body coiling around the Troll python, its claws and scales tearing the Troll's skin into a bloody mess.
Amidst the creaking of the Troll's bones, Lucien assessed the performance of the Transfiguration Chimera.
Hmm, it's alright.
The Chimera, which begins to fuse and Transfiguration from flesh and bone, may lack magical abilities, but its sheer physical strength surpasses the limits of ordinary creatures.
The Chimera, which can rival Magical Creatures to some extent, should be the true Chimera in the mind of that ancient wizard and author of the Chimera Manual.
As for stronger and more magical Transfiguration creatures, I'll either have to research Magical Creature Transfiguration in the future, or I'll combine Alchemy to create cyborgs.
With a loud crash, the Troll collapsed and fell heavily to the ground.
The exposed skin was covered in a dark green hue, a sign that toxins had entered the body.
Lucien waved his staff to dispel the poisonous gas emitted by the Chimera, removed the air wall, and let it drag the Troll over.
Hmm, it seems like he's a little dead.
Looking at the limp, tattered Troll, Lucien felt a pang of regret.
I was originally thinking of raising them to extract materials like Troll snot.
This was the first time a deeply integrated and modified Chimera had been used against an enemy, and they hadn't been careful with their strength.
Alright, let's put it away for now. If it survives, great; if not, consider it extra food for the Acromantula.
Lucien took out a black gourd and put the half-dead Troll inside.
As Lucien was collecting the Troll, the Chimera's nose suddenly twitched, its compound eyes turned, and it looked behind a certain pillar.
Those strange, translucent eyeballs stared directly into a pair of eyes filled with fear.
